Conducted today, July 7, 2026, with the participation of ADAC Focal Persons, CBDRP Focal Persons, Municipal Health Officers (MHOs), and other members of the ADAC Core Group, strengthening collaboration and enhancing the implementation and certification of Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Programs across the Province of Albay.

In celebration of IDADAIT 2026, the PADAC, in partnership with PDEA Albay, displayed awareness tarpaulins at the Albay Astrodome and distributed them to municipalities and cities across Albay to strengthen public awareness and encourage collective action in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

Together, we stand committed to building safer, healthier, and drug-free communities.

𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡

(Legazpi City, June 3, 2026) Seventy-six out-of-school youth from the 14 local government units of Albay participated in the Preventive Education and Advocacy Program on Drug Abuse held on May 21 at the Farmers’ Auditorium in Camalig, Albay.

The activity aimed to promote informed and responsible decision-making while raising awareness of the harmful effects of illegal drugs.

Participants joined interactive lectures and workshops that encouraged positive choices and healthy lifestyles.

Resource speakers from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office V, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Provincial Office, the Provincial Health Office, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Albay led discussions on drug abuse prevention and youth empowerment.

The sessions provided practical information and guidance to help participants recognize risks and make responsible decisions in their daily lives.

The program concluded with role-playing presentations that demonstrated the participants’ knowledge and insights gained from the sessions while highlighting the importance of remaining drug-free and becoming responsible members of their communities.

(Legazpi City, May 26, 2026) Opisyal nang idineklarang drug-cleared ang limang barangay sa bayan ng Guinobatan matapos ang isinagawang pagpupulong ng mga miyembro ng oversight committee kaugnay sa kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga.

Kabilang sa mga barangay na kinilalang drug-cleared ang Iraya, Calzada, Maguiron, Masarawag, at San Rafael.

Ayon sa ulat, ang deklarasyon ay bunga ng pinaigting na kampanya at kooperasyon ng mga lokal na pamahalaan, barangay officials, at iba’t ibang ahensya upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa kanilang mga komunidad.

Itinuturing itong panibagong hakbang tungo sa mas ligtas, maayos, at mas malusog na pamayanan para sa mga residente ng Guinobatan.

Patuloy namang hinihikayat ng mga awtoridad ang mga barangay na palakasin pa ang kanilang mga programa kontra ilegal na droga upang mapanatili ang kanilang drug-cleared status.

May 20, 2026 || Three municipalities in the Province of Albay were awarded the Balangay Seal of Excellence this May 2026 by the National Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing in recognition of their unwavering efforts and strengthened campaign against illegal drugs.

During the committee meeting, five barangays in Guinobatan — Iraya, Calzada, Maguiron, Masarawag, and San Rafael — were also officially declared drug-cleared, marking another milestone toward safer and healthier communities.

𝐏𝐃𝐄𝐀 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

(Legazpi City, April 15, 2026) The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office V intensified its public information campaign on Republic Act 9165 to educate communities on the penalties for illegal drug possession.

The agency emphasized that illegal possession requires proof that a person holds dangerous drugs without legal authority and has full knowledge of such possession.

Under Section 11 of Article II of the law, possession of dangerous drugs may be punished with life imprisonment and fines ranging from Php 500,000 to Php 10,000,000 depending on the quantity involved.

PDEA V also cited provisions penalizing possession of drug paraphernalia and participation in drug-related gatherings, with penalties ranging from six months and one day to four years of imprisonment and fines from Php 10,000 to Php 50,000.

The agency added that involvement in gatherings or meetings involving dangerous drugs may carry severe penalties, including life imprisonment and fines of up to Php 10,000,000.

The campaign aims to improve public awareness of the law, encourage compliance, and reinforce collective responsibility in addressing illegal drugs.
