The total volume of production of livestock and poultry in 2nd Quarter 2026 reached 8,446.74 metric tons, which was 14.12 percent higher than 7,401.57 metric tons registered in the same quarter of 2025. Livestock and Poultry production for most of commodities went up production for this period. Carabao, Chicken and Duck recorded a decline in production during the quarter.

READ | Main Contributors to September 2026 Inflation

The main contributors to the overall inflation in September 2026 were:

🍽️ Food and non-alcoholic beverages - 35.8%
🏠 Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels - 24.0%
🚍 Transport - 18.3%

Meanwhile, core inflation, which excludes selected food and energy items, increased to 4.7% in September 2026 from 4.1% in August 2026.

READ | Seasonally Adjusted Consumer Price Index (2018=100): September 2026

At the national level, the seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all items exhibited a month-on-month growth rate of 1.1% in September 2026, from 0.5% in August 2026.

In the National Capital Region (NCR), seasonally adjusted CPI for all items registered a faster month-on-month growth rate of 1.1% in September 2026, from 0.3% in the previous month.

Areas outside NCR noted a faster monthly increase 1.2% in September 2026, from 0.4% recorded in August 2026.

READ | Consumer Price Index for the Bottom 30% Income Households (2018=100): September 2026

The country’s inflation rate for households in the bottom 30% of the income distribution increased to 9.0% in September 2026 from 8.2% in August 2026.

Food inflation for the bottom 30% of income households at the national level recorded a year-on-year growth rate of 9.8% in September 2026, from 8.3% in the previous month. In September 2025, it recorded an annual decrease of 2.4%.

Inflation for the bottom 30% of income households in the National Capital Region (NCR) moved at a faster rate of 5.7% in September 2026, from 4.3% in August 2026.

Inflation for the bottom 30% of income households in areas outside NCR also showed a faster annual increment of 9.1% in September 2026, from 8.4% in August 2026.
