The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region V successfully concluded the Camarines Sur phase of the SIRAM Pagkaon Bikolnon: Flavorful Foods of Bicol project, wrapping up the Local Stakeholdersโ€™ Assessment and Validation Trip in the Partido district on July 30-31, 2026.

Our local validators traversed the municipalities of Siruma and Caramoan to experience and evaluate the regionโ€™s rich culinary heritage. These efforts aim to curate and elevate the finest local delicacies onto the provincial gastronomy map.

On July 29, the delegation explored several municipalities that showcased not only their vibrant culinary traditions but also the scenic destinations that make Camarines Sur a premier tourism hub.

Last July 24, the ๐—˜๐˜…๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—บ ๐—ก๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—™๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ officially opened at SM City Daet marked by a vibrant opening and ribbonโ€‘cutting ceremony led by Governor Ricarte โ€œD**gโ€ Padilla, Vice Governor Engr. Joseph V. Ascutia, DOT V Regional Director Herbie B. Aguas, Board Member John Carlo โ€œLukadโ€ De Lima SPCommitee Chairman - Tourism, Provincial Board Members Jonah Pimentel, Teresita Malubay, Michael Canlas, Rebecca Padilla, Municipal Mayors, Municipal Tourism Officers, Reigning Pageant Titleholders, Bantayog Tourism Content Creators, The Provincial Tourism Council, Academe, Students and other invited guests.The opening was highlighted by the wonderful performances of the Tatak Kulturang Cam Norteรฑo (TKC) Chorale and Dance Troupe.

Organized by the Provincial Government of Camarines Norte through the Provincial Tourism Operations Office headed by Ms. Genelyn โ€œAngelโ€ V. David, LPT, the fair carried the theme "๐™๐™๐™๐™„๐™Ž๐™ˆ๐™Š, ๐™๐˜ผ๐™”๐™Š ๐™ˆ๐™„๐™Ž๐™ˆ๐™Š!" which is a call for unity, pride, and collective effort, reminding every CamNorteรฑo that tourism thrives when the community itself takes part.

For the first time ever, municipalities, accommodation establishments, tour operators, travel agencies, artisans, and tourism groups gathered in one place to showcase the best of CamNorte. This milestone aligns with the Department of Tourism's newest domestic campaign in โ€œDiscover More to Loveโ€ alongside the tourism branding of our province in .
After the opening ceremonies, the travel fair goers were treated to a lively trivia game and informative Tourism Product Presentations from Municipal Tourism Offices , Tourism Oriented Groups and and artisans. The first day capped off by a fun Travel Bingo game, awarding cash prizes, gift certificates and free all expense paid trips to the pristine Calaguas Islands which is a fitting celebration of Cam Norteโ€™s culture, adventure, and community spirit! ๐Ÿ’š
