NAVFORSOL Personnel Renewed Their Pledge of Allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — The Naval Forces Southern Luzon joins in the celebration of the 36th Year Anniversary of the AFP Code of Conduct, reaffirming its commitment of core values of Honor, Service, and Patriotism.

As part of the observance, NAVFORSOL personnel renewed their Pledge of Allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct, presided over by Commodore Estelito B. Lagadia Jr. PN, Commander, Naval Forces Southern Luzon, PN. The ceremony emphasized their responsibility to uphold professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in the performance of their duties.

The occasion underscored that every decision and action of AFP personnel reflects not only upon themselves but also upon the institution they represent. As emphasized in the message of General Antonio G Nafarrete PA, Chief of Staff, AFP, “Our capabilities may determine what we are able to do. Our character determines how we use them”.

Through the renewal of their pledge, NAVFORSOL personnel reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the trust of the Filipino people and embody the values that define the AFP: HONOR, SERVICE and PATRIOTISM.

NAVAL FORCES SOUTHERN LUZON CELEBRATES 49 YEARS OF SERVICE, READINESS, AND PARTNERSHIP

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — The Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NAVFORSOL), Philippine Navy, proudly commemorated its 49th Founding Anniversary, highlighting nearly five decades of dedicated service, operational readiness, strong partnerships, and steadfast commitment to safeguarding the maritime domain of Southern Luzon.

With the theme, “NAVFORSOL @ 49: Advancing Readiness, Strengthening Partnerships, and Securing the Seas Towards Mission Accomplishment in Southern Luzon,” the celebration was graced by Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN, Flag Officer in Command, Philippine Navy, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

In his presence, NAVFORSOL reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening operational readiness, enhancing interagency cooperation, fostering community partnerships, and contributing to the protection of the country’s maritime interests.

The activity was led by Commodore Estelito B. Lagadia Jr. PN, Commander, Naval Forces Southern Luzon, PN together with NAVFORSOL officers, enlisted personnel, civilian human resources, reservists, stakeholders, and partner agencies.

A significant highlight of the celebration was the blessing of the newly constructed Beach Gate and Artificial Reef Blocks for the NAVFORSOL Artificial Reef “Project NAVY,” symbolizing the Command’s continuing efforts to enhance its facilities while promoting marine environmental protection and the rehabilitation of aquatic ecosystems.

The anniversary celebration also recognized deserving NAVFORSOL personnel for their exemplary performance, dedication, professionalism, and significant contributions to mission accomplishment. Likewise, certificates of recognition were presented to partner agencies and stakeholders whose continued cooperation and support have strengthened NAVFORSOL’s efforts in serving communities and securing the maritime environment.

The celebration underscored the importance of unity, interoperability, and strong partnerships in accomplishing the Philippine Navy’s mandate and sustaining a safe, secure, and peaceful maritime environment.

As NAVFORSOL, PN enters another year of service, it remains steadfast in advancing readiness, strengthening partnerships, protecting coastal communities, and securing the seas in pursuit of mission accomplishment.

Three senior Marine leaders of the Philippine Navy (PN) paid their respective exit calls to the Flag Officer in Command, Philippine Navy, Vice Admiral Jose Ma Ambrosio Q Ezpeleta PN, on September 29, 2026, at the Navy Headquarters in Manila, ahead of their retirement from active service.
The PN chief welcomed Major General Edwin E Amadar PN(M), Vice Commander, Philippine Navy; Major General Doroteo Jose M Jalandoni PN(M), Commander, Reserve Command, PN; and Brigadier General Francisco Domingo R Fernandez PN(M), Chief, Command Center, AFP, during the joint retirement visit, where he expressed his appreciation for their years of dedicated service to the Philippine Navy and the Philippine Marine Corps.
Their respective exit calls marked the culmination of distinguished careers in military service, highlighted by leadership, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to duty. Their contributions have supported the accomplishment of the Navy’s mission and sustained its operational requirements, leaving a meaningful legacy of service for the next generation of naval and Marine leaders.
The joint exit call also served as an opportunity for the PN chief and the retiring Marine generals to reflect on their years of service and contributions to the organization as they conclude their respective military careers.

PREPARED TO SAIL | ADMM-Plus EWG on MS JCA, FLP Delegates Plan for At-Sea Exercises
Defense leaders and experts laid out operational concepts and plans during a Tabletop Exercise (TTX) on September 22, 2026, in preparation for the At-Sea Phase of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) Experts’ Working Group on Maritime Security (EWG on MS) Joint Cooperative Activity (JCA) and Future Leaders’ Program (FLP) .

The delegates met and planned for simulated crisis-based scenarios, including maritime emergencies and natural calamities. Likewise, a pre-sail briefing was held to discuss the necessary preparations for the exercise, including protocols, contingency plans, weather and sea state conditions, and the planned route.

FOSTERING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY | ADMM-Plus Delegates Extend Generosity, Support with Zambales Community

A simple act of kindness and generosity brought smiles to the young learners of the Shepherds of the Hill Center for Music, Arts, and Sports as regional and international maritime security delegates demonstrated military social responsibility through the sharing of essential goods and meaningful moments with the community, September 22.

The participants distributed school supplies and facilitated a feeding activity for the students during the program. In return, the students warmly welcomed the delegates through a series of performances, expressing their appreciation for the visitors’ generosity and support.
