PGSO - PMD Inventory Unit FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT

Formulate measures, develop strategies and prepare plans, programs and activities relative to general services. GOAL

1. OBJECTIVES

An efficient and fully equipped office supported by structural facilities, transport facilities and highly responsible and competent personnel performing effective, systematic, orderly and prompt delivery of services. Perform general services functions through effective and efficient management on procurement services, property services, repair & maintenance services and administrative/arc

hival services.

2. Establish computerized program for PGSO.

3. Provide general and technical support services to Local Chief Executive, Local Officials, Department Heads and line agencies. PROPERTY – To maintain updated insurance, registration and licensing of properties; and effective storage, custodianship and accountability through conduct of inventory and disposition; To acquire land for the construction of a warehouse; To construct a warehouse. PROCUREMENT – To maintain and disseminate updated pricelist and conduct actual canvassing of transactions; To ensure prompt delivery of goods & services and process payment of the acquisition of goods & services. ARCHIVES/ADMIN – To maintain and safeguard archival records; To identify records office space; To identify training, seminars fitted to personnel; To assist the Department Head in the supervision of personnel; and To ensure effective and available communication services. MAINTENANCE – To maintain repair and maintenance works, janitorial, landscaping and other related services; To acquire the necessary tools to render electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, syphoning services; To increase skilled personnel and enhanced capabilities.

2. To install a system through databasing suited to the four divisions for fast, easy access, and retrieval of data and information.

3. To account all properties acquired through PGA procurement, donation, reparation, assistance and counterpart of joint projects; To recommend to the Governor rental rates of government properties; To recommend to the legislative and executive body, as the case may be, on all matters relative to general services; and To provide equipment & manpower support to different government projects even during calamities or disasters.
