Agad na umaksyon ang Land Transportation Office (LTO), sa direktiba ni Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, matapos makarating sa ahensya ang isang viral video na nagpapakita ng insidente ng road rage sa kahabaan ng Ortigas Avenue sa Greenhills.

Sa naturang video, makikitang sangkot ang drayber ng isang pribadong sasakyan sa isang insidente ng road rage, kung saan kapansin-pansin ang kanyang agresibong pakikipagtalo sa isa pang motorista.

Dahil dito, agad na inisyuhan ng LTO ng Show Cause Order (SCO) ang naturang drayber at inatasang humarap sa Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) ng ahensya upang magsumite ng kanyang sinumpaang paliwanag kaugnay ng kasong Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle at iba pang posibleng paglabag na maaaring matukoy sa nagpapatuloy na imbestigasyon.

Kasabay nito, isasailalim sa 90-araw na preventive suspension ang lisensya ng naturang drayber at inaatasang agad itong isuko sa IID. Inilagay na rin sa alarm status ang pribadong sasakyang sangkot habang nagpapatuloy ang kaukulang proseso at imbestigasyon ng ahensya.

“Hindi dapat dinadala sa kalsada ang galit o anumang hindi pagkakaunawaan. Anuman ang naging dahilan, hindi ito dapat mauwi sa pagiging agresibo o anumang kilos na maaaring magdulot ng panganib sa ibang motorista at iba pang gumagamit ng kalsada. Ang sinumang lalabag at magsasagawa ng ganitong uri ng kilos ay mananagot,” pahayag ni Asec. Lacanilao.

Patuloy na magsasagawa ang LTO ng kaukulang aksyon laban sa mga insidenteng nagpapakita ng iresponsable at mapanganib na pag-uugali sa kalsada. Titiyakin ng ahensya na ang mga sangkot sa ganitong uri ng paglabag ay sasailalim sa kaukulang imbestigasyon at pananagutan alinsunod sa umiiral na mga batas at regulasyon.

Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na mapalawak at mapabilis ang paghahatid ng serbisyo sa publiko, limang (5) tanggapan ng LTO sa National Capital Region (NCR) ang bukas tuwing Sabado, mula 8:00 ng umaga hanggang 2:00 ng hapon.

Layunin ng pagbubukas ng mga piling tanggapan tuwing Sabado na mabigyan ng karagdagang pagkakataon ang mga motorista at kliyenteng hindi makapunta sa LTO mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes na maisagawa ang kanilang mga transaksyon.

Ang mga sumusunod na tanggapan ay bukas tuwing Sabado:

Ayon kay LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, ang pagbubukas ng mga nasabing tanggapan tuwing Sabado ay bahagi ng mga hakbang ng ahensya upang gawing mas accessible at convenient sa publiko ang mga serbisyo ng LTO.

“Nais nating ilapit at gawing mas accessible ang serbisyo ng LTO sa ating mga kababayan. Marami sa ating mga motorista ang may trabaho at iba pang obligasyon mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes, kaya nais nating mabigyan sila ng pagkakataong makapag-transact sa LTO kahit araw ng Sabado,” pahayag ni Lacanilao.

Dagdag pa ng LTO Chief, inaasahang makatutulong din ang Saturday operations upang mabawasan ang dagsa ng mga kliyente sa mga tanggapan tuwing weekdays at mapabilis ang paghahatid ng serbisyo sa publiko.

“Patuloy nating hahanapan ng paraan kung paano natin mapapadali ang pakikipagtransaksyon ng publiko sa LTO. Ang mahalaga ay maibigay natin sa ating mga kababayan ang mabilis, maayos at maaasahang serbisyo na nararapat sa kanila,” dagdag ni Lacanilao.

Hinimok din ni Lacanilao ang publiko na direktang makipagtransaksyon sa mga opisyal na tanggapan ng LTO at huwag makipag-ugnayan sa mga fixer.

Ang limang tanggapan ay bukas tuwing Sabado mula 8:00 AM hanggang 2:00 PM, at magpapatuloy ang Saturday operations hanggang sa magkaroon ng panibagong abiso.

Agad na nag-isyu si Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao ng Show Cause Orders (SCOs) laban sa drayber at rehistradong may-ari ng isang sports car, gayundin sa LTO-accredited importer nito, matapos matukoy ang iregularidad sa pagpaparehistro ng naturang sasakyan.

Dahil sa paglabag na ito, inaasahang humarap ang mga sangkot sa Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) ng LTO Central Office sa Setyembre 8 upang magsumite ng kanilang mga sinumpaang salaysay, kalakip ang mga dokumentong maaaring magsilbing suporta sa kanilang panig at sa pagpapatuloy ng imbestigasyon. Kailangang ipaliwanag ng drayber at may-ari ang mga alegasyong may kaugnayan sa Imitation and False Interpretation, gayundin kung bakit hindi dapat tuluyang bawiin ang lisensya ng drayber dahil sa pagiging Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.

Samantala, kailangang ipaliwanag ng LTO-accredited importer ng naturang sports car kung bakit hindi ito dapat papanagutin sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular No. AVT 2014-023, partikular sa alegasyon ng Commission of Fraud and Misinterpretation in the Filing of Application and its Operations, including Stocks and Sales Reporting, pati na rin sa iba pang posibleng paglabag na maaaring lumitaw sa imbestigasyon.

Bilang pansamantalang hakbang habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon, inatasan ang drayber na isuko ang kanyang lisensya sa IID, na sasailalim sa 90-araw na preventive suspension, alinsunod sa kaukulang proseso ng LTO. Inatasan din ang pagsuko ng naturang sasakyan sa kustodiya ng LTO para sa kaukulang beripikasyon at imbestigasyon.

“Simple lang ang paninindigan natin, dapat tama ang dokumento, tama ang rehistro, at tama ang proseso. Sa mga motorista, maging mapanuri sa mga sasakyang binibili natin. Sa mga dealer naman, huwag nating lokohin ang ating mga kababayan. Kung may mali, itama natin at huwag tayong makilahok sa anumang uri ng panloloko,” ani Asec. Lacanilao.

Patuloy na paiigtingin ng LTO ang monitoring, validation, at enforcement laban sa mga iregularidad sa pagpaparehistro ng mga motor vehicle bilang bahagi ng pagsusulong ng mas maayos, transparent, at accountable na sistema sa ahensya, habang hinihikayat ang publiko na palaging gawin ang tama at tiyaking wasto at lehitimo ang kanilang mga dokumento at transaksyon, at agad na ireport sa LTO ang anumang kahina-hinalang gawain o iregularidad na mapapansin upang mabigyan ito ng kaukulang aksyon at imbestigasyon.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | LTO Sorsogon District Office conducted an enforcement operation pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. MVL-2026-5314, focusing on compliance with the prescribed requirements governing the use of improvised and temporary plates.

The operation also addressed violations involving prohibited or unauthorized license plates, including the use of fake license plates, to ensure proper vehicle identification and adherence to existing land transportation laws, rules, and regulations.

Through sustained enforcement efforts, the LTO Sorsogon District Office remains committed to promoting road safety, vehicle accountability, and compliance with traffic regulations. Proper vehicle identification is essential in maintaining safer and more orderly roads for all motorists and road users.
