Provide independent, competent, and timely review of the ethics of all researches being conducted or proposed to be conducted at BRTTH;
2. Determine the acceptability of research proposals based on organizational commitments, existing regulations and laws, professional conduct and practice, values, and needs;
3. Evaluate the conduct of researches in accordance with international, national, and l
ocal guidelines;
4. Ensure that there is regular evaluation of the ethics of ongoing studies; and
5. Responsible for acting in the full interest of potential participants and concerned communities, taking into account the interests and needs of the researchers, and having due regard for the requirements of relevant regulatory agencies and applicable laws.
