PNP ARRESTS THREE WANTED PERSONS FACING MURDER CASES, INCLUDING β±140K REWARD SUBJECT
Three wanted persons facing murder-related charges were arrested in separate police operations across the country on August 8, 2026, including one who carried a β±140,000.00 government reward.
In Silay City, Negros Occidental, police arrested a Filipino of legal age who is ranked No. 8 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office Negros Island Region. He was apprehended by Silay City Police Station personnel by virtue of a warrant for Murder, with no bail recommended.
In Pikit, Cotabato, police arrested another Filipino of legal age, who is the No. 9 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 12. He was apprehended by personnel of the Pikit Municipal Police Station and 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company, with support from Regional Intelligence Unit 12 and Regional Intelligence Division 12. He is facing Multiple Murder with Multiple Frustrated Murder, with no bail recommended.
Meanwhile, in Pasig City, police arrested a Filipino of legal age listed as the No. 4 Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 1, who was covered by a β±140,000.00 reward pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-022. He was apprehended by personnel of the Vigan City Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office, with support from the District Intelligence Division and Eastern Police District, by virtue of a warrant for Murder, with no bail recommended.
The arrests are part of the PNPβs continuing campaign to locate wanted persons through coordinated and intelligence-supported operations, consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO).
Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said police units must remain persistent in locating wanted persons while ensuring that every arrest is conducted within the law.
βHindi natatapos ang trabaho sa pagkuha ng warrant. We have to locate the person, make the arrest properly, and turn him over to the proper authorities. That is how we make police operations both effective and accountable,β PGen Nartatez said.
