Vinzons, Camarines Norte – At around 9:25 AM on September 10, 2026 (Thursday), operatives of the CIDG Camarines Norte Provincial Field Unit together with Vinzons MPS CNPPO, successfully arrested alias “Lito”, resident of Vinzons, Camarines Norte.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest for five (5) counts of R**e by Sexual Assault.

CIDG 5 NABS TWO INDIVIDUALS FOR VIOLATION OF P.D. 449 IN LABO, CAMARINES NORTE

Labo, Camarines Norte – On August 21, 2025 (Friday), operatives of the CIDG Camarines Norte Provincial Field Unit and Labo MPS CNPPO, successfully arrested two (2) individuals, both residents of Labo, Camarines Norte, during the conduct of a police operation for Violation of PD 449.

A case for Violation of P.D. 449 (Cockfighting Law) is being prepared against the arrested individuals.

The successful operation underscores the commitment of the CIDG and other PNP units to strictly enforce Presidential Decree No. 449 and curb all forms of illegal cockfighting activities that undermine public order and the rule of law. The PNP likewise reminds the public to observe and comply with existing laws and regulations governing cockfighting activities, and encourages citizens to report any illegal gambling activities to the authorities for appropriate action.

CIDG 5 APPREHENDS ONE INDIVIDUAL FOR VIOLATION OF P.D. 705 IN LABO, CAMARINES NORTE

LABO, CAMARINES NORTE — At about 4:05 PM on August 18, 2026 (Tuesday), operatives of the CIDG Camarines Norte Provincial Field Unit, together with the DENR–PENRO Daet, CN 2nd PMFC, and Labo Municipal Police Station (CNPPO), successfully conducted an entrapment operation in Labo, Camarines Norte, resulting in the arrest of one (1) individual identified as alias “Flory” for violation of Presidential Decree No. 705, otherwise known as the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines.

During the operation, the operatives recovered and confiscated from the suspect, who was caught in the act of selling, a total of thirty (30) sacks of wood charcoal.

A case for violation of Section 77 of P.D. No. 705, as amended by Executive Order No. 277-87 and renumbered by Republic Act No. 7161, is being prepared against the arrested individual.

The successful operation highlights the continuing commitment of the CIDG and the Philippine National Police, in coordination with partner agencies, to strengthen enforcement of environmental and forestry laws and hold violators accountable. It likewise underscores the importance of inter-agency cooperation and community participation in the effective implementation of the law.

The CIDG remains steadfast in its mandate to pursue individuals engaged in unlawful activities and to ensure that violators are brought before the proper authorities for appropriate legal action.

CIDG 5 INTENSIFIES ANTI-ILLEGAL LOGGING OPERATIONS: ARRESTS 1 IN SAN MIGUEL, CATANDUANES

San Miguel, Catanduanes- 1 arrested by the operatives of CIDG Catanduanes Provincial Field Unit together with San Miguel MPS, PIU CATPPO, PIT6, MLET Catanduanes and DENR-PENRO Catanduanes during the implementation of search warrant for violation of PD 705 that resulted to the arrest of alias “Mand” and confiscation of undocumented flitches of lumber (PMG) and one (1) unit chainsaw. A criminal charge for Violation of PD 705 (Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines) and R.A. 9175 (Chainsaw Act of 2002) was already filed against the suspect.

Paracale, Camarines Norte – At around 12:10 PM on August 13, 2025 (Thursday), operatives of the CIDG Camarines Norte Provincial Field Unit together with 503rd MC RMFB5, 91st SAC and Paracale MPS CNPPO, successfully implemented a Search Warrant operation resulting in the arrest of one (1) individual identified as alias “Rod”.

During the operation, one (1) unit of caliber .38 revolver and six (6) pieces live ammunition for caliber .38 revolver were recovered and confiscated.

A case for Violation of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act) is being prepared against the arrested individual.

Virac, Catanduanes- On August 5 2026 at about 2:30 PM, the CIDG Catanduanes Provincial Field Unit, together with RIU5-PIT 6, Catanduanes MLET, PIU Catanduanes PPO and Virac MPS implemented Search Warrant for violation of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in Brgy. Palta Salvacion, Virac, Catanduanes that resulted to the arrest of alias “LEX” male, and the confiscation of 1 unit .38 caliber revolver and rounds of ammunition .
