🌿 MENRO Leyte Conducts Monthly Barangay Environmental Compliance Monitoring🌊

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of the LGU Leyte, Leyte successfully conducted its Monthly Barangay Environmental Compliance Monitoring in Barangay Tigbawan Leyte, Leyte as part of its continuing commitment to ensure the effective implementation of environmental laws, programs, and local ordinances.

The monitoring covered various environmental management initiatives—from inland resource management to coastal resource management- including the implementation of Solid Waste Management, maintenance of Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), protection of rivers and waterways, mangrove and coastal conservation, environmental sanitation, and other community-based environmental programs. This initiative aims to strengthen environmental governance, assess compliance, identify areas for improvement, and promote sustainable environmental practices at the barangay level.

The MENRO extends its sincere gratitude to the Barangay Council of Tigbawan, headed by Hon. Raul Cañas, for their active participation, cooperation, and unwavering support throughout the monitoring activity.
