𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐭-𝐚𝐧, 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐨, 𝐀𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐧

The Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office (DTI Aklan), through Negosyo Center Libacao, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Libacao headed by Hon. Tim Bryan O. Teodosio and the Barangay Council of Casit-an headed by Hon. Darius Zante, conducted a Negosyo Center Information Caravan for the MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs of Barangay Casit-an, Libacao, Aklan, on May 25, 2026.

The activity officially opened with a welcome message from Hon. Darius Zante, followed by the inspirational message of the Municipal Mayor of Libacao, delivered on his behalf by Ms. Mae Anne T. Sonio, JBC – NC Libacao, expressing his strong support for MSMEs and the programs of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), represented by Mr. Voltaire I. Zaulda, BPLO Designate, also presented its programs and services for MSME development.

Meanwhile, Ms. Judy Ann B. Rendon, TIDS, provided an overview of the DTI and Negosyo Center (NC) programs and services. Ms. Iris Mae I. Sarabia, TIDS, discussed Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and other Fair Trade Laws, while Ms. Queena Althea N. Villorente-Aguirre, NC TIDA, presented financing opportunities for MSMEs through the Small Business Corporation.

To formally close the program, Hon. Andre Bon Z. Salido, Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Casit-an, conveyed his gratitude to the speakers, participants, and partner agencies for the successful conduct of the activity.

The NC-IC is a program of the DTI that aims to increase public awareness of the services offered by the DTI through Negosyo Centers and partner agencies, identify MSMEs operating within the barangay, and provide business development assistance and services to the community.

The Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office (DTI Aklan), through Negosyo Center Libacao, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Libacao headed by Hon. Tim Bryan O. Partner agencies likewise presented their programs and services geared toward MSME development. These included the Municipal Agricultural Office, headed by Mr. Menan V. Zomil and represented by Ms. Marielle Joy B. Zapico, Livelihood Coordinator; the Business Permits and Licensing Office, represented by Mr. Voltaire I. Zaulda, BPLO Designate; and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), represented by Ms. Vivian S. Oropiano, Revenue Officer II.

Meanwhile, Mr. Renz Kenneth G. Agapito, SBC – NC Madalag, provided an overview of the DTI and Negosyo Center (NC) programs and services. Ms. Mae Anne T. Sonio, JBC – NC Libacao, discussed Consumer Rights and Responsibilities and other Fair Trade Laws, while Ms. Queena Althea N. Villorente-Aguirre, NC TIDA, presented financing opportunities for MSMEs through the Small Business Corporation.

To formally close the program, Hon. Cielo N. Orbista, Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Can-awan, conveyed gratitude to the speakers, participants, and partner agencies for the successful conduct of the activity.

The Department of Trade and Industry - Aklan Provincial Office, thru the invitation of Rotaract Club of Kalibo and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Aklan Chapter, and in partnership with LGU-Libacao and 27 partner agencies, joins the multi-sectoral initiative “KASALI KA: Karapatan sa Lipunan ng Katutubong Akeanon-Bukidnon – Year 4.”

DTI Aklan conducted a Consumer Advocacy Seminar on Consumer Rights and Responsibilities, alongside IEC campaigns and programs for Indigenous Peoples (IPs), held on April 23–24, 2026, in Agbatuan, Oyang, Libacao, Aklan.

Together, we delivered services to empower the community.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) VI led by OIC-Regional Director Mutya D. Eusores and OIC-Asst. Regional Director / DTI-Aklan Provincial Director Romel L. Amihan, paid courtesy visits to Cong. Jesus "Papa Jess" Marquez in the 1st District and Cong. Florencio "Joeben" T. Miraflores in the 2nd District, today, March 26.

The visit aimed to present the 2025 Accomplishment Report of the office geared toward enabling Aklanon micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and empowering the general consumers of their rights and responsibilities. Moreover, upcoming activities by the office for this year were also shared to further intensify and promote the local industries not only within the province but to wider markets.

The two officials, on the other hand, have expressed their continued support to the agency's programs and services especially to Aklanon MSMEs and the general consumers.

Also present were the unit heads of the DTI-Aklan: Unit Head of the Business Development Unit, STIDS Rosalie A. Panganiban; Unit Head of the Industry Development Unit, STIDS Amiel P. Sumait; and Unit Head of the Consumer Protection Unit, STIDS Pamela S. Roldan.
