LIBACAO, AKLAN — The Municipality of Libacao, under the leadership of Mayor Tim Bryan O. Teodosio, convened its Municipal Resilience Team (MResT) Organizational Meeting today, April 23, 2026.
This initial gathering of the MResT served as an avenue to provide the core members an overview of DSWD KALAHI CIDSS engagement in the municipality. Furthermore, a thorough discussion on the Panahon ng Pagkilos: Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP) took place. PDO III John Marlou Salido emphasized the project's development objective: to strengthen community capacity for participatory resilience planning and to improve access to resilient investments in vulnerable areas.
The meeting included a presentation of the Executive Order establishing the MResT. Core members and partner offices were briefed on their roles and responsibilities in supporting resilience planning and implementation.
Among the major agreements reached was the conduct of the Municipal Orientation on June 2, 2026, which will serve as the formal entry point for broader stakeholder engagement.
The team finalized the assignment of presenters, topics, and the activity flow for the upcoming orientation. Key municipal offices will lead discussions on risk and vulnerability assessment in line with PCRP requirements.
Preparatory activities, such as coordination, community profiling, and data consolidation, will proceed in the coming weeks to support the implementation of the next steps.
The MResT Organizational Meeting reaffirms Libacao’s commitment to a structured, data-driven approach to resilience building.
