📢 CALLING THE ATTENTION OF GPP COORDINATORS AND HAPAG IMPLEMENTORS! 🌱🥬

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of LGU Libmanan invites the following to participate in the upcoming:

🌿 SKILLS ENHANCEMENT TRAINING ON GAP, URBAN GARDENING, AND ORGANIC INPUTS PRODUCTION & UTILIZATION

📅 September 3–4, 2026
📍 Handiong Cultural Center, Libmanan, Camarines Sur

👥 Target Participants:
✅ Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) Coordinators – particularly newly designated coordinators and those who have not attended previous GPP-related trainings
✅ HAPAG Implementors / HAPAG In-Charge
✅ Barangay Communal Garden / Gulayan sa Barangay In-Charge

🌱 What to Expect:

Participants will gain practical knowledge and hands-on skills on:

🌿 Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
🥬 Urban Gardening
🌱 Production and Proper Utilization of Organic Inputs
🌾 Establishment and Sustainable Management of School and Barangay Communal Gardens

This training aims to strengthen the capacity of our school and barangay garden implementors in promoting food security, nutrition, sustainable food production, and environment-friendly gardening practices in their respective communities.

📌 We encourage all concerned GPP Coordinators, HAPAG Implementors, and Barangay Communal Garden In-Charges to attend and actively participate.

🌱 SEASON-LONG FARMERS FIELD SCHOOL ON HIGH VALUE CROPS 🌱

Learning by doing continues as farmer-participants of the Season-Long Farmers Field School (SL-FFS) on High Value Crops engage in hands-on activities focused on sustainable and practical vegetable production.

👩‍🌾👨‍🌾 Activities conducted included:
🌿 Transplanting of vegetable seedlings – proper handling, spacing, and establishment of healthy plants in the field.

🧪 Preparation of organic concoction fertilizers – farmers learned how to prepare and utilize locally available materials as an alternative source of nutrients to support plant growth and improve soil health.

Through the SL-FFS, farmers are given the opportunity to learn, practice, observe, and apply appropriate crop production technologies directly in the field. More than just training, the activity strengthens farmers’ knowledge and confidence in producing quality and nutritious high-value crops.
