The Local Government of Libona, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWD), successfully coordinated the Banner Raising Ceremonies across all 14 barangays on November 24, 2025.

Each barangay displayed its banner within its jurisdiction as a visible symbol of its pledge to support the global advocacy to end violence against women. This localized implementation aims to strengthen community awareness and encourage grassroots participation.

The LGU acknowledges and appreciates the continued cooperation of all barangay leaders and community stakeholders in advancing women’s safety and empowerment.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by Mrs. Ellen S. Olegario, RSW, MSSW, together with GAD Focal Person Ms. Laarnie S. Gabito and the dedicated MSWD staffs, successfully spearheaded the Municipal Children’s Day and Festival of Talent in celebration of the National Children’s Month with the theme “OSAEC–CSAEM WAKASAN, Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata Ipaglaban.”

A total of 33 Day Care Centers across the Municipality of Libona participated, proudly showcasing the energy, talents, and enthusiasm of their Day Care Children. The event emphasized the municipality’s unwavering commitment to protecting children's rights, promoting their safety, and fostering a supportive community where every child can thrive.

Together, we continue to champion a future where every child is safeguarded, empowered, and valued.

In observance of the National Children’s Month Celebration, the School Cyber Safety Caravan was successfully conducted today, November 14, 2025. Anchored on this year’s theme, “OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!”, the activity aimed to strengthen awareness on online safety and responsible digital citizenship among learners.

The Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office and PNP-Libona teams collaboratively facilitated the sessions and distributed informational leaflets to pupils, ensuring that essential guidance on cyber safety reaches every child.

Together, we continue to champion the protection, rights, and overall well-being of our children in the digital world. 💙

In line with the upcoming National Children's Month this November, the Municipality of Libona successfully conducted the 1st Child Representative and Youth Organization Presidents Consultation Meeting on October 31, 2025, held at the New Municipal Hall- Conference Room.

The consultation convened Child Representatives from each barangay and Youth Organization Presidents & Officers from Bukidnon States University (BUKSU), Libona National High School (LNHS), Sidlak San Jose Youth Organization, Sil-ipon Integrated School and Kinawe National High School (KNHS) to discuss their active involvement and participation in the upcoming celebration's activities and initiatives.

This significant engagement, facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, underscores the municipality's commitmment to empowering children and the youth as partners in promoting their rights, welfare, and meaningful participation in community development.

ATM: STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP ON STRENGTHENING TEEN CENTER FOR THE REDUCTION OF ADOLESCENT PREGNANCY IN BUKIDNON | October 21-23, 2025

Together with the CPD Region X and Provincial Population and Development Office- this workshop allows the LGU's and Cities of Bukidnon assess the current situation of adolescent pregnancy in the Province of Bukidnon. Aligning to the national policies such as Executive Order 141 s. 2021- different service providers across different municipalities have collaborated and shared their best practices and visions while achieving the objectives of the activity.
