Bonglo Elementary School continued its preparations for the opening of classes through the collective efforts of parents, teachers, stakeholders, and community volunteers.
Among the major accomplishments from Days 2 to 5 was the construction of a temporary classroom for Grades 1 and 2 learners to ensure adequate learning spaces while permanent facilities are being improved. The installation and reinforcement of the steel perimeter fence and railings were also undertaken to enhance school safety and security. The school's main gate, including the โBONGLO ELEM SCHOOLโ signage, was repaired and strengthened through welding works.
To provide a safer and more conducive learning environment, repairs were made to the ceiling and roofing of the old wooden building, including the replacement of damaged materials and the fixing of leaks. New chalkboards were likewise installed to support effective teaching and learning.
Volunteers also hauled sand, gravel, and cement to designated work areas and cleared debris and rocks around the campus in preparation for upcoming concrete works. General cleaning activities in classrooms and the covered court continued, while beautification efforts were sustained through the creative use of recycled bottles as plant box borders along the railings.
On behalf of the Bonglo ES family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers, parents, stakeholders, and community members who generously share their time, skills, resources, and unwavering support. Your bayanihan spirit continues to make a difference in preparing our school for the incoming learners.
Together, we are building a safer, cleaner, and more learner-friendly environment for School Year 2026โ2027.
Maraming salamat, ka-Brigada!โค๏ธ
