The City Government of Ligao, through the City Health Office โ Nutrition Division, in partnership with the City Agriculture Office (CAO) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), conducted a one-day training for Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Workers titled โ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐๐๐ง: ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ.โโ
A total of fifty-five (55) CBID Workers participated in the training, which aimed to equip them with the knowledge and skills to establish and promote Accessible NutriGardens in their respective barangays. As part of their commitment, each CBID Worker will help set up a communal garden, organize a community group, and involve persons with disabilities (PWDs) in this food production initiative, in collaboration with the assigned Agriculture Technician in their area.
Mr. Noel Paz of the City Agriculture Office served as the Resource Speaker, sharing practical insights and strategies for sustainable and inclusive nutrition-based gardening. City Health Officer Dr. Wynns Samar also delivered a brief but meaningful message, highlighting how the initiative aligns with the 2025 Nutrition Month theme, โFood and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!โ
Mayor Fernando V. Gonzalez graced the event, commending the participants and expressing his full support for efforts that promote food security and community involvement, especially among vulnerable sectors.
