The City Government of Ligao partners with RoboRAVE Philippines 2026 Bicol in advancing innovation, STEM education, and youth development as the regional robotics and innovation event takes place in Ligao City on September 5–6, 2026.

Currently underway at Kawa-Kawa Hall, the event brings together 83 teams and 221 participants from Ligao City, Legazpi City, Masbate Province, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Laguna, and Quezon City for an exciting showcase of robotics, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and technological innovation.

Through this partnership, the City Government of Ligao continues to support opportunities that equip young people with future-ready skills, encourage them to explore science and technology, and inspire them to become the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow.

🎓 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗬
The City Government of Ligao celebrates the successful completion of the 394th batch of the Office System Application Course (OSAC), held yesterday, September 5, 2026, at the People’s Hall, New Ligao City Hall.
A total of 93 graduates successfully completed the 80-hour training program, gaining valuable skills in office applications and digital technology.
The activity was attended by Vice Mayor Jaypee M. David and City Councilor Patricia Gonzalez-Alsua.
Since 1996, OSAC has remained a testament to the City Government of Ligao's commitment to skills development, digital literacy, and empowering individuals toward professional growth and community development.

🏕️ 𝟳𝟴𝟵 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗦 𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟳𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟 𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗘

The City Government of Ligao joins the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Ligao City Council in supporting the 7th Council Jamboree, bringing together 789 Scouts from Ligao City for five days of learning, adventure, leadership, and fellowship.

Held from September 3–8, 2026 at the Provincial Campsite in Brgy. Basag, Ligao City, the jamboree carries the theme “Scouts for Sustainable Development: Leading Today, Transforming Tomorrow.”

The activity provides our young Scouts with valuable opportunities to strengthen their leadership, discipline, teamwork, resilience, self-reliance, and commitment to community and sustainable development.

With hundreds of young Scouts coming together, the jamboree highlights the important role of scouting in shaping responsible, capable, and service-oriented young citizens who are ready to lead today and help build a better tomorrow.

After another hard-fought battle against Tabaco City Rising, the Ligao City Knights closes out the semifinal series 2–0, securing its spot in the FINALS with a 96–90 Game 2 victory.

The City Government of Ligao, through the Ayuda sa Habagat Program, provided assistance to households affected by the Habagat in the three coastal barangays of Maonon, Cabarian, and Catburawan on September 4, 2026.

Under the program, households with one to two members received 25 kilograms of rice and ₱1,000 in financial assistance, while households with more than three members received 50 kilograms of rice and ₱2,000 in financial assistance.

The initiative aims to help affected families address their immediate needs and provide much-needed support as they cope with the effects of the Habagat.

The assistance was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Office of the Mayor , Sangguniang Panlungsod, City Social Welfare and Development Office , City Treasurer’s Office, City General Services Office, and the respective barangays.

Through the concerted efforts of the City Government and barangay officials, assistance is brought closer to families and communities affected by the adverse effects of the habagat.

The City Health Office - Nutrition Division and City Social Welfare and Development Office extended assistance to its clients with life-limiting conditions through its Nutritional Care Package Program: “Enhancing Quality of Life for Clients with Life-Limiting Conditions” today, September 4, 2026, at the People’s Hall Complex, New City Hall.

A total of 180 clients with life-limiting conditions received one (1) sack of rice and cash assistance of ₱6,000 each to help ease their daily needs and support their quality of life.

This initiative reflects the City Government’s continuing commitment to compassionate, inclusive, and people-centered service.

The City Government of Ligao, through the City Agriculture Office, is currently conducting the 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗯𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, a two-day capacity-building activity aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of local farmers and agricultural stakeholders.

The training covers key topics on ube cultivation, site selection and planting materials, harvesting and post-harvest handling, production economics, marketing, and enterprise development, with a hands-on learning session to further enhance participants’ practical skills.

Through this initiative, the City Government continues to support our farmers by promoting ube as a promising agricultural commodity and livelihood opportunity in Ligao City. 💜🌱
