The activity was actively participated in by the students, who eagerly engaged in discussions and practical demonstrations on basic fire prevention, emergency preparedness, proper evacuation procedures, and the correct use of portable fire extinguishers. IN PHOTOS || As part of the celebration of the 206th Liloan Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Liloan, BFP Liloan Fire Station, under the supervision of SFO3 Arvin T Telen, OIC–Municipal Fire Marshal, in coordination with MDRRMO Liloan and other national and local government agencies, actively provided public safety and emergency response assistance during the Lilo-Wawa Half Marathon. The Emergency Medical Services of BFP Liloan served as part of the race sweeper team, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants by monitoring the race route, responding promptly to medical emergencies, and providing assistance to runners until the last participant successfully crossed the finish line.

In addition to their operational duties, several BFP personnel also participated in the marathon as runners, demonstrating their commitment to physical fitness, camaraderie, and active support for community initiatives. The collaborative efforts contributed to the safe, orderly, and successful conduct of the Lilo-Wawa Half Marathon, fostering unity, wellness, and community spirit in celebration of the municipality's founding anniversary.

18 June 2026 | 2ND QUARTER NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

IN PHOTOS || BFP Liloan under the leadership of SFO4 Trini Leigh G Calapre, OIC - Municipal Fire Marshal, in coordination with the MDRRMO Liloan, joined in the 2nd National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) organized by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and the Office of Civil Defense. The activity was performed by LGU staff and employees, as well as students from St. Ignatius de Loyola Academy, Liloan National Technical Vocational Highschool, and Liloan Central School.

During the drill, BFP Liloan personnel served as observers and evaluators, closely monitoring the participants’ compliance with established earthquake safety protocols, evacuation procedures, and overall response performance. After the exercise, BFP Liloan personnel conducted an evaluation and provided observations regarding the participants’ performance. Areas noted included the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique, evacuation procedures, adherence to safety protocols, and accountability of personnel. Recommendations were also given to address identified gaps and further improve preparedness and response capabilities during actual earthquake emergencies.

The activity concluded with a commitment from all participating agencies and stakeholders to continuously strengthen disaster resilience and public safety within the municipality.
