𝐇𝐑𝐌𝐃𝐎 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 | 𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐢𝐏 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Pangasinan State University has reached a meaningful milestone as it earns the Investors in People (IiP) Platinum Accreditation, becoming the first and only higher education institution in Asia to receive the distinction.

More than the accreditation, this recognition reflects the solidarity that continues to define PSU as a community. It speaks of people who choose to care, offices that support one another, campuses that move with one direction, and PSUnians who continue to serve because the mission of the University is worth carrying forward.

The IiP Conversations held on February 18–20, 2026 became more than an assessment of systems and best practices. They served as a meaningful venue for PSU to share the stories behind the outputs, the people behind the processes, and the shared commitment behind the recognition. Through this engagement, the University affirmed that its values are lived not only in moments of success, but also in the difficult, quiet, and ordinary days that build an institution.

This achievement also honors the path that came before it. Under the leadership of former University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted, PSU first gained distinction as the first and only public university in Asia to receive IiP Silver Level Accreditation in 2018. The University sustained this standard with the IiP Gold Level Award in 2021.

Today, under the leadership of University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, the Platinum Accreditation carries that legacy forward and lifts it to a higher level. It stands as a shared achievement shaped by generations of leadership, service, and purpose, and by the continuing work of one PSU community committed to excellence with heart.

This is more than a recognition. It is a tribute to every PSUnian whose work, seen and unseen, helped bring the University to this moment.

𝟏𝟖𝟓 𝐏𝐒𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐃𝐏

A total of 185 student-beneficiaries from the Bayambang, Binmaley, Lingayen, San Carlos, and Urdaneta campuses received their financial assistance under the CHED Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) during the distribution held on May 5, 2026 at the Dr. Telesforo N. Boquiren Convention Center, PSU Lingayen Campus.

The activity was facilitated by the Office of Students and Alumni Affairs and personnel from the CHED Regional Office I, led by 𝘿𝙧. 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙤 𝘽. 𝘽𝙤𝙨𝙚 and 𝙈𝙨. 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣, ensuring a smooth and organized release of assistance.

The TDP, a financial assistance program under CHED and UniFAST, provides a ₱7,500 subsidy per semester to qualified students, supporting their educational needs and helping them remain in school despite financial challenges.

Through initiatives like this, Pangasinan State University reaffirms its commitment to accessible education by empowering PSUnians to persevere, succeed, and build a better future.

Pangasinan State University proudly celebrates two of its distinguished alumni who were recently featured on 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐉𝐢𝐧𝐠, hosted by 𝙅𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖ñ𝙚𝙙𝙖 of 𝘿𝙕𝙈𝙈.

𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤, a BS Criminology graduate from Binmaley Campus, and 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 Peñaranda, a BS Agriculture graduate from Infanta Campus, were invited to share their inspiring journeys as recipients of the CHED scholarship. Their stories highlighted how educational support opened doors to opportunities and empowered them to pursue their dreams.

Their stories resonate with many PSUnians - individuals who continue to strive despite challenges, yet rise and succeed through perseverance, determination, and opportunity.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀: 𝗣𝗦𝗨 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗔𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Collaboration and learning took center stage as PSU Deans of Students and Alumni Affairs joined the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PAPSAS) National Conference and Training Workshop on April 28–30 at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

Representing PSU were 𝙈𝙨. 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙂𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙖 (Sta. Maria Campus) and 𝘿𝙧. 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨 (Alaminos City Campus), who engaged alongside Student Affairs and Services practitioners from across the country in meaningful discussions, capacity-building sessions, and knowledge exchange on current trends and best practices in student development and support.

The three-day convention served as a valuable platform for strengthening professional networks and reaffirming the shared commitment to holistic student welfare, further advancing efforts toward responsive and relevant student services.
