The NCIP Pangasinan Provincial Office accommodated a client who followed up on the status of his Certificate of Non-Overlap (CNO) application. The inquiry was promptly addressed by the Tribal Affairs Assistant II, who coordinated with the Regional Focal Person and informed the client that the CNO had already been forwarded to the NCIP Central Office for the concurrence of the Ethnographic Commissioner for CAR and Region I.
Meanwhile, another client sought guidance regarding the issuance of an NCIP certification for a private property in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, where they intend to construct an establishment. The requested certification aims to verify that the property does not overlap with any Ancestral Domain and will not adversely affect any Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs). The client was informed that the City of Dagupan is patently known as a non-AD area. However, upon his request for official verification, he was advised to submit a Letter of Intent addressed to the Provincial Officer to facilitate the evaluation and processing of his request.
To ensure continuous coordination and communication, the client was provided with the office's contact information and informed of the appropriate process for further action.
