has been in public service for 22 years since 1997 and is regarded as “The Action Man” for his unnumerable projects and support to different government and non-government organizations, namely: Fishermen’s Organization, Senior Citizens, Farmer’s Association, the youth sector, transportation groups, and many others. He began his political career as #1 Barangay Kagawad in Poblacion, Dasol in 1997 an
d #1 Municipal Councilor in 2001 and 2004 in his beloved town, Dasol. In 2007, he decided to run for the Office of Municipal Vice Mayor, and he won by a landslide vote and became the youngest Vice Mayor in the province during his term. With his impressive political record, it is no surprise that in 2010, he became one of the Provincial Board Members in the Province of Pangasinan. And just like what he did in Dasol, he came and fulfilled the promise to perform his duties and responsibilities to serve. He served his constituents in the 1st District of Pangasinan and the rest of his province mates – sincerely and wholeheartedly. And so, in 2013 and 2016, because of his outstanding leadership and good governance, he became the first and only Provincial Board Member to ever become the Third Man and Senior Board Member for two consecutive terms in the Province of Pangasinan. In the recently concluded 2022 National and Local Elections, Board Member Nong Fontelera ranked 1st in the First District of Pangasinan on his grand comeback in public service.
