SK Federation of Lingayen successfully conducted SK Meeting together with SK President Hon. Carissa Tuazon, followed by the distribution of Basketball Rings and SK Jackets to our dedicated SK Chairpersons.

The Federation also had the honor of a courtesy visit with Mayora Iday, further strengthening their commitment to serve the youth and the community with unity and purpose.

MAY 6, 2026: Sangguniang Kabataan of Lingayen Meeting led by SK Fed. President Engr. Carissa Joyce Tuazon at the Municipal Conference Room and Courtesy visit to the Office of the Mayor.

The agenda of the said meeting are the following:
1. Distribution of one of the projects of SK Federation President which is the Basketball Rings (School
Organizations under LYDC will also be given)
2. Barangay Sports Tournaments
3. SK issues and concerns

The meeting was also attended by Local Youth Development Officer John Mark C. Mangapot to give updates and guide the SK Chairpersons regarding their status of SK Web Portal, Annual Budget for 2026, and to distribute the Kabataang Lingayenense Jackets to the 32 SK Chairpersons of Lingayen as a token from the LYDO and from the Office of Mayora Josefina V. Castañeda.

Soon, the Head of the 19 organizations under the Local Youth Development Council will also be given jackets during their 2nd Quarterly Meeting.

𝐀𝐆𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬!🌿🤩

The results are in, and we have some incredible news to share! Our 𝐁𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐦𝐮𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 has officially transformed the health of our local stream. Over the last few months from January 12, 2026 to April 26, 2026 we have seen nature bounce back in a major way.💚👩🏻‍🔬

By introducing beneficial microorganisms, we’ve managed to "starve" the algae by removing the excess nutrients they feed on.

The Key Successes:
📌𝐀𝐥𝐠𝐚𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝: We have successfully reduced algae coverage from a suffocating 100% down to just 30%.

📌𝐍𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝: Our latest tests show that nitrates have dropped from 30ppm to 0ppm a total success in stripping the water of harmful nutrients.

📌𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝: We achieved an 83% reduction in phosphates, bringing levels down from 1.5ppm to a much healthier 0.25ppm.

📌𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲: The water has shifted from a murky yellow-green to a much clearer light green.

This progress is a testament to what we can achieve when we use science-based solutions to protect our environment.

𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒊𝒔𝒏'𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔.

While we have successfully "starved" the algae, the process of that algae breaking down has temporarily used up the water’s oxygen. This, combined with the intense April heat, has created a temporary "dead zone" where oxygen levels are currently too low for fish to survive.💚

We are closely monitoring this fragile state. We expect oxygen levels to recover as the decomposition process finishes and the water stabilizes. Our commitment is to the long-term health of this watershed, which means staying vigilant through these difficult phases.🤩

What started as an unexpected encounter turned into a powerful opportunity for the future of the Roller Skaters Club of Lingayen. 🛼🔥

Grateful to reconnect with Sir JM Mangapot, our Local Youth Development Officer, together with my college and fellow FSG officer, Ms. Cezka Katrina Fernandez-Mararac, a conversation that opened doors for us to formally register under the National Youth Commission’s Youth Organization Registration Program.

This is more than paperwork.
This is a step toward legitimizing our movement, empowering our youth, and building a stronger, recognized community for aspiring skaters.

Sir JM’s strong support and commitment to endorse us to the NYC national office is something we truly value. 🙏

From a simple meet-up… to a major milestone.
