Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus has once again solidified its reputation for academic rigor and quality assurance. The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program has officially reached Level III Re-accredited Status, a testament to the departmentโs unwavering commitment to excellence in instruction, research, and community extension. This achievement marks a significant chapter in the program's history, reflecting years of meticulous documentation and the collective effort of the universityโs dedicated faculty.
Success of this magnitude is the result of visionary leadership and tireless coordination. The PSU community extends its deepest gratitude to Ms. Anna Clarice M. Yanday, the current Chairperson of the Mathematics Department. Her hands-on leadership and technical expertise were instrumental in mobilizing the department, ensuring that every rigorous standard was met with precision and excellence.
The university also honors the legacy of the previous department chairpersons, Prof. Antonio De Guzman and Prof. Gina May Natividad. Their hard work and dedicated service in the years leading up to this achievement built the strong foundation upon which this success now stands. Their contributions to the departmentโs growth and their commitment to the students have been vital to the program's long-term development.
Furthermore, the university recognizes the vital contributions of Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, the previous Campus Executive Director. It was during his term that the BS Mathematics program navigated the most demanding years of the accreditation process. His foundational support and administrative wisdom provided the stability and resources necessary to pursue this high level of recognition.
The Lingayen Campus also expresses its sincere appreciation to the current Campus Executive Director, Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones. Her continued support and guidance have been essential in reaching this goal, ensuring the department had everything it needed to succeed in the final stages of the process.
This accomplishment was made possible through the overarching vision of our University President, Dr. Elbert M. Galas. Dr. Galas' dedicated leadership and commitment to making PSU a premier state university have paved the way for programs like BS Mathematics to achieve national recognition and provide top-tier education to its students.
