Upang ang empleyado ay makatanggap ng 100% ng kaniyang arawang sahod (basic wage x 100%) sa araw na ito, siya ay dapat pumasok o naka-paid leave sa huling araw ng trabaho bago ang nakatakdang regular holiday.

IN PHOTOS: In pursuit of stronger pathways toward long-term and sustainable employment, the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted a research survey and focus group discussion (FGD) with selected beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) and DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) at the DOLE Batangas Provincial Office on May 20, 2026.

The study gathered insights from 66 TUPAD beneficiaries across Batangas who availed of the program from 2024 to 2025. The survey focused on their experiences before, during, and after participating in the program, providing a deeper understanding of its impact on their lives and employment journey.

According to ILS representatives, the data collected will contribute to efforts in assessing how TUPAD can effectively serve as a bridge toward more stable, long-term, and sustainable employment opportunities for its beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, nine beneficiaries of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) also took part in a focus group discussion. Mostly composed of senior citizens, participants shared personal accounts of how DILP positively influenced their lives and livelihoods. They also opened up about the motivations behind continuing to pursue work and livelihood opportunities despite their age, highlighting their resilience and commitment to remaining productive members of their communities.

The ILS data collection activity will continue until May 21, with a focus group discussion involving identified Public Employment Service Office (PESO) representatives in Batangas.
