Strengthening communities through preparedness and resilience! 💪🌏

The ongoing Training on Disaster Risk Assessment at the Lipa City Culture and Arts Centre brings together representatives from all 72 barangays of Lipa City in a collective effort to enhance disaster preparedness and risk reduction. This significant activity is being conducted by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in partnership with the Lipa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LCDRRMO).

Through this training, our barangays are gaining valuable knowledge and skills in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and developing informed strategies that will help protect lives, properties, and livelihoods. Building a culture of preparedness today will create safer, more resilient communities for future generations.

The LCDRRMO looks forward to the positive impact this training will bring, including stronger local disaster management plans, improved coordination among stakeholders, and more proactive communities capable of responding effectively to emergencies. Together, we are investing in a safer and more disaster-resilient Lipa City.

Nagkaisang muli ang mga kooperatiba ng Lungsod ng Lipa sa matagumpay na pagsasagawa ng Project E.R.I.C. (Emergency Response Integrated Cooperatives) na pinangunahan ng Lipa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LCDRRMO) katuwang ang Lipa City Cooperative Office.

Dinaluhan ito ng iba’t ibang kooperatiba mula sa buong lungsod upang mabigyan ng mahalagang pagsasanay sa Basic First Aid at Disaster Preparedness. Layunin ng programang ito na palakasin ang kakayahan ng bawat kinatawan ng kooperatiba na maging handa, maagap, at epektibong tumugon sa oras ng sakuna at emerhensiya.

Sa pamamagitan ng mga pagsasanay na ito, mas napauunlad ang kaalaman at kasanayan ng ating mga mamamayan sa wastong pagresponde, pag-iwas sa panganib, at pangangalaga sa buhay ng bawat isa. Ito rin ay isang hakbang tungo sa mas matatag, organisado, at disaster-resilient na komunidad.

Patuloy ang LCDRRMO sa pagtupad ng aming tungkulin na maglingkod at magbigay-kakayahan sa mga pangunahing sektor ng komunidad upang sama-sama nating maisulong ang isang ligtas, handa, at matatag na Lungsod ng Lipa.
