MOA Signing between JZGMSAT and LGU Sta. Rosa, Laguna

On June 3, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed between the Local Government Unit of Santa Rosa City, Laguna and Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trades (JZGMSAT) to further expand access to Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET), particularly for individuals in drug rehabilitation centers. The initiative aims to support rehabilitation and reintegration through skills development and livelihood opportunities that can help promote long-term self-sufficiency.

The event was attended by JZGMSAT Administrator Dr. Angelica S. Gonzales and Extension Services Focal Person Mrs. Belinda J. Ignacio, along with the City Mayor of Sta. Rosa, Hon. Arlene Arcillas. Their presence underscored the shared commitment to expanding inclusive training programs and strengthening community-based rehabilitation support systems.

This partnership reflects a continued effort to make TVET more accessible and responsive to the needs of marginalized sectors, contributing to skills empowerment and social reintegration.

124th Labor Day Celebration for Workers in the Informal Sector "Disenteng Trabaho para sa Lahat: Iisang Hangarin, Bagong Pilipinas Sama-Samang Mararating

The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. IV-A (CALABARZON) successfully conducted the 124th Labor Day Celebration for Workers in the Informal Sector on May 26–27, 2026 at Hotel Kimberly, Tagaytay City, Cavite, with the theme, “Disenteng Trabaho Para sa Lahat: Iisang Hangarin, Bagong Pilipinas Sama-samang Mararating.”

The two-day activity aimed to strengthen the capacities of workers in the informal sector through orientation, proposal development, convergence initiatives, and inter-agency collaboration. Representatives from various government agencies, local government units, and partner institutions across the CALABARZON Region participated in the activity, including TESDA Cavite which actively supported and participated in the conduct of the program and related convergence activities.

TESDA Cavite contributed to the activity through participation in the discussions and workshop sessions related to skills development, livelihood opportunities, and proposal enhancement for workers in the informal sector.

As part of the wellness and support activities during the second day of the program, TESDA Cavite facilitated a wellness program through the provision of free massage services to approximately 150 participants. The wellness services were rendered by the service providers from Dasmariñas City Training Center – Main (DCTC), headed by Mr. Carlos Legaspi. The initiative was warmly appreciated by the participants as it promoted relaxation, wellness, and stress relief throughout the conduct of the activity.

The activity concluded with the synthesis of provincial outputs, commitment setting, convergence agreements, identification of support mechanisms, discussion of next steps for EPA 2027 and TUPAD budgeting allocation, awarding of certificates, and closing messages from DOLE officials and partner agencies.

Overall, the activity was successful in fostering collaboration among government agencies and stakeholders while strengthening the capacities of workers in the informal sector toward sustainable livelihood development and inclusive economic growth.

PTC San Antonio conducted Skills Training in Pineapple Processing in Panukulan, Quezon

A two-day Skills Training in Pineapple Processing was successfully conducted on May 13-14, 2026, in Panukulan, Quezon. The training was specifically designed for the selected 20 cooperative members of the Panukulan Multi Sectoral Fishers and Farmers Association (PaMuseFFA) with the primary objective of enhancing their processing skills and expanding their product portfolio. By introducing innovative pineapple-based products, the cooperative aims to diversify its market offerings and create additional revenue streams for its members.

Ms. Dyrah Donna R. Devida, a Food Processing facilitator, led the two-day program with insights and dedication to ensuring participants acquired both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies in pineapple processing.

The training commenced with instruction focused on food safety and sanitation-foundational elements essential for any food processing enterprise. Ms. Devida shared practical hygiene and
sanitation procedures designed to prevent cross-contamination, ensuring that participants understood how to maintain safe processing environments and protect consumer health. These theoretical foundations were crucial in preparing participants to apply food safety principles throughout the
practical processing sessions.

THE 2ND SACLI QUALITY AWARDS NIGHT 2026 AND BLESSING OF THE NEW IBED BUILDING

TESDA Quezon Provincial Office proudly extends its support and partnership with St. Anne College Lucena, Inc. (SACLI) during the 2nd SACLI Quality Awards Night 2026 and Blessing of the New IBED Building held on May 22, 2026 at SACLI, Lucena City.

Representing TESDA Quezon Provincial Office, Sr. TESD Specialist Ms. Ma. Loredee S. Unson together with Technical Support Staff Ms. Jennelyn R. Oliva actively participated in the celebration and proudly received the Plaque of Recognition awarded to TESDA Quezon Provincial Office for its unwavering support, collaboration, and commitment in enriching the educational experience of SACLI learners and the entire SACLI community.

The event highlighted SACLI’s continued excellence through recognition of outstanding faculty, staff, administrators, and partners, while also celebrating another milestone with the blessing of the new IBED Building. Congratulations to St. Anne College Lucena, Inc. on this meaningful and successful celebration.

People’s Caravan “Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa”at Naic, Cavite

TESDA Cavite Provincial Office, in collaboration with the City of Dasmariñas Livelihood Training Center – A, actively participated in the conduct of the People’s Caravan entitled “Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa” held on May 26, 2026, at Rancho Verde 2, Brgy. Malainen Bago, Naic, Cavite. The activity was spearheaded by the National Housing Authority (NHA) and aimed to bring various government services closer to the community beneficiaries.

As part of the caravan, TESDA Cavite and the City of Dasmariñas Livelihood Training Center – A provided free community-based services and skills demonstrations to the residents such as Chocolate Making, Arts and Crafts, Free Manicure, Pedicure, Haircut and Massage.

The caravan successfully served a total of seventy-seven (77) registered participants from the community. The breakdown of beneficiaries per service is as follows:

The activity provided meaningful engagement and practical learning opportunities to the residents while promoting wellness, creativity, and livelihood awareness. Participants expressed appreciation for the free services and hands-on demonstrations conducted by TESDA Cavite and its partner institution.

Through this initiative, TESDA Cavite Provincial Office further strengthened its partnership with local government units and partner agencies in delivering responsive and community-centered programs aligned with the agency’s mandate of empowering Filipinos through skills development and accessible technical education.

Charting the Path Forward: TESDA Cavite's Strategic Planning and Benchmarking for Sustainable Community-Based Training

TESDA Cavite Provincial Office successfully conducted its Strategic Planning and Benchmarking Activity with the theme: “Charting the Path Forward: TESDA Cavite's Strategic Planning and Benchmarking for Sustainable Community-Based Training”
held on May 22–23, 2026 at the Bondoc Peninsula Technological Institute (BPTI), San Narciso, Quezon.

The activity served as an avenue for TESDA Cavite personnel to strengthen collaboration, align organizational goals, and formulate responsive strategies toward the continuous improvement of community-based training programs and service delivery.

As part of the activity, participants engaged in strategic planning sessions, benchmarking activities, and a CBT Training on Gourmet Making, which provided valuable insights and best practices that can further enhance the implementation of sustainable and industry-responsive training programs in the province.

Beyond planning and learning, the activity also fostered camaraderie, teamwork, and a stronger commitment among personnel in advancing TESDA’s mandate of providing quality technical vocational education and training for the community.

The Provincial Training Center (PTC) - San Antonio conducted the Training Induction Program (TIP) for the Masonry NC II course to 20 scholars for Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) from 85th Infantry Battalion at Brgy. San Rafael, Lopez, Quezon.

The program was held May 11, 2026 at Brgy. San Rafael, Lopez, Quezon. The activity primarily provided trainees information about the TESDA scholarship and other program requirements.
