Nakibahagi ang Coast Guard Sub-Station Lobo sa 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED, Setyembre 11, 2025, Sa pangunguna ng Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Lobo, Lobo Philippine National Police (PNP), Rural Health Unit, Tourism Office, Emergency Response Team, at mga Opisyal ng Barangay ng Malabrigo. Isinagawa ang aktibidad sa paaralan ng Sawang Elementary School, Serenidad Beach Resort, at Aqua Frontier Hotel and Restaurant.

Lahat ng kalahok ay nakiisa sa isinagawang drill na layong palakasin ang kanilang kahandaan at kasanayan sa pagtugon sa mga sakuna at emerhensiya, gayundin upang higit pang mapaunlad ang kanilang kaalaman at kakayahan para sa mabilis at epektibong pagtugon.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: The Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL), in partnership with the Coast Guard Public Affairs Service (CGPAS), conducted a four-day multimedia training from July 29 to August 1, 2025, at Headquarters CGDSTL in Batangas City.

The workshop aimed to enhance the digital communication and public affairs skills of personnel under the Public Information Office – Southern Tagalog (PIOSTL).

Participants were trained in file management, photography, videography, graphic design, press release writing, public speaking, media relations, and social media management. Each day focused on a mix of technical skills and practical simulations to improve operational readiness and communication effectiveness.

The training culminated in the creation of videos, infographics, and digital content aligned with Philippine Coast Guard standards, reflecting CGDSTL’s commitment to professionalizing its public affairs capability and strategic communications.

TINGNE : Muling namahagi ng Food Packs ang lokal na pamahalaan sa pamumuno ng ating punong bayan Mayor Geronimo "Emong" C. Alfiler sa pamamagitan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) kasama ang MDRRMO, Lobo PNP, Coastguard Sub-Station Lobo, kinatawan ng ating Congresswoman Atty. Gerville "Jinky" Luistro Bitrics kahapon, July 28 at ngayong araw, July 29, 2025 sa Brgy. Apar, Jaybanga, Nagtaluntong, Calo, Malalim na Sanog, Lagadlarin, Soloc at Malabrigo.
Tatlumput tatlong (33)pamilya mula sa nasabing barangay ang nabigyan ng relief goods mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Bawat pamilya ay nakatanggap ng family food pack na naglalaman ng bigas, de-lata, kape, at chocolate powder mix, sapat para sa dalawa o higit pang araw.
Sa tala ng MSWDO animnaput lima (65) ang kabuuang pamilya na nabigyan ng food packs sa ating bayan.

In reference to DOST PAGASA 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast issued at 4:00 am 27 July 2025, the Tropical Cyclone formerly name β€œEMONG” (CO-MAY) is outside PAR as of 3:00 am today. Please be informed that the TEMPORARY SUSPENSION has now been LIFTED.

In this regard, all WATER ACTIVITIES within the area of Lobo, Batangas are hereby RESUMED to normal operations. Everyone is reminded to remain cautious of the varying weather/sea conditions caused by Southwest Monsoon β€œHabagat”. Safety is paramount at all times.

In reference to DOST PAGASA 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast issued at 4:00 PM 23 July 2025, the center of Tropical Storm β€œDante” (FRANCISCO) was estimated base on all available data at 845 km East Northeast of Extreme Luzon (22.1 degrees N, 129.9 degrees E), with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving North Northwestward at 25 km/h. Meanwhile, at 3:00 PM, the center of Tropical Storm β€œEmong” was estimated at 130 km West of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (18.2 degrees N, 119.3 degrees E), with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

In this regard, all WATER ACTIVITIES in Lobo, Batangas is TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED due to bad weather and sea condition.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: The Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) successfully conducted a five-day Capability Enhancement Training on Recreational Safety Enforcement Inspection (RSEI) from 16 to 20 June 2025 in its headquarters in Batangas.

The activity aimed to enhance the skills and readiness of personnel by providing updated safety inspection protocols and standards under RSEI, ensuring that recreational facilities, watercraft, and resort operations comply with existing safety regulations.

During the training, participants engaged in various group activities designed to deepen their understanding of the importance of RSEI and to apply their learning through actual inspection exercises in local resorts.

Facilitated by Ensign John Kenneth Noche PCG and Petty Officer Second Class Jonathan Gardoc PCG from the Maritime Safety Services Command (MSSC), the training included both classroom-based instruction and practical components. Topics covered inspection procedures, documentation, and inter-agency coordination necessary for effective enforcement.

Notably, the training was actively participated in by women personnel from different Coast Guard units in Southern Tagalog, reflecting CGDSTL’s continued commitment to empowering women and promoting gender inclusivity in safety operations.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: The Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) proudly spearheaded the Gender and Development (GAD) Female Leadership Forum β€”an empowering initiative aligned with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)’s Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Framework at Pontefino Hotel, Batangas City on 27 May 2025.

With the theme β€œWe for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” the event served as a vital platform to celebrate women’s contributions in maritime leadership and national security, while reaffirming the PCG’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable organization.

The forum also featured a panel of key female leaders from the Philippine Coast Guard who shared their valuable insights, experiences, and leadership journeys. Among the distinguished speakers were the following:
1. Commodore Glenda Pereyra PCG (Deputy Commander, Marine Environmental Protection Command)
2. Commodore Maricor Soliva PCG, (Chief of Training Staff, Coast Guard Education and Training Doctrine Command)
3. Commodore Glide Gene Mary Sontillanosa PCG (Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Human Resource Management, CG-1)
4. Captain Lejanie Dy PCG (Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Civil Relations Service, CG-7)

Commander Cecille Jimenez PCG, Director, Coast Guard Gender and Development Center, shared her expertise pertaining to the Philippine Coast Guard’s Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Framework.

The panelist collective wisdom deeply enriched the discussions and inspired participants to actively pursue gender equality and inclusive leadership across all levels of the organization. Open forums provided space for participants to share their own experiences and perspectives, fostering a sense of solidarity and shared purpose.

In his closing remarks, Commodore Geronimo Tuvilla PCG, Commander of the Coast Guard District Southeastern Luzon (CGDSTL), emphasized that the recognition of CGDSTL as the Most Outstanding Gender-Responsive Unit of the Year is a testament not only to the dedication and excellence of the women in the service, but also to the strength of a unified team driven by a common purpose. He called on all personnel to continue advancing together with unity, mutual respect, and an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and equality.

β€œTrue empowerment goes beyond visibility and must be rooted in policies that nurture growth, in daily practices that reflect respect and equality, and in leadership that lifts everyone to greater heightsβ€”regardless of gender," Commodore Tuvilla stated.
