Empowering the youth with practical, marketable skills is essential to building a stronger and more self-reliant community. Through hands-on training in milkfish deboning, young individuals are inspired to embrace livelihood opportunities, develop entrepreneurial mindsets, and contribute to local food security and economic growth.
The Training on Milkfish Deboning for Livelihood Development successfully inspired and equipped the youth of Tiwi, Loon, Bohol with valuable skills for sustainable livelihood on November 29, 2025 at the Barangay Hall of Tiwi. Special appreciation is given to the College of Fisheries Faculty of Bohol Island State UniversityโCalape Campus, the College of Fisheries Departmental Officers, and the Aqua Technologist Society Organization Officers for their commitment to youth development. Sincere recognition is also extended to Ms. Mary Joyce D. Ignacio, former ATS President and current COF Departmental Secretary, as Resource Speaker, and Mr. Vincent Bryan A. Valdez, ATS Officer, as Demonstrator. This successful and impactful activity was made possible through the generous support of the Barangay Council and Sangguniang Kabataan of Tiwi, Loon, Bohol. ๐โจ
