20IB, 8ID, PA The 20th Infantry (We Lead) Battalion, 8ID, PA is currently stationed at Brgy Magsaysay, Lope de Vega, Northern Samar.

The 20th Infantry (We Lead) Battalion could be considered as one of the oldest battalion of the Philippine Army. Its humble beginnings could be traced back from the former 20th Battalion Combat Team (BCT) that was activated effective 06 Septemer 1950. After its organization, the Unit had seen action in Korean War as a mechanized Unit of the Philippine Contingent to the United Nations Expeditionary

Forces to Korea (PEFTOK). Upon its return to the country after two years of deployment in Korea, 20IB has been deployed all over the areas of the archipelago and has participated in numerous pacification campaign ranging from the campaign against HUKBALAHAP in Luzon, the Communist Terrorists in the Visayas and the Secessionist Movement in Mindanao. At present, 20IB is based here in Northern Samar covering the area of the 1st district to include the Tinambacan and Oquendo Districts of Calbayog City, Samar.
