Asst. Prof. Deborah B. Gay, serving as Research Fellow, recently spearheaded the conduct of back-to-back Multistakeholder Consultation Workshops for the research project, “Agritourism Value Chain and Food Security: Integrating Small-to-Medium Scale Producers in Laguna and Bohol, Philippines.” Funded by the UP Center for Integrative and Development Studies (UP CIDS), the project is under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Ma. Theresa M. Castro.

Held in July, the workshops brought together key local stakeholders and small-to-medium scale producers across two major locations. The first leg of the consultation took place at Ylaya at Sta. Elena in San Pablo, Laguna, followed by the second leg at the Bohol Bee Farm in Dauis, Bohol.

Through these interactive sessions, they facilitated critical discussions aimed at strengthening agritourism value chains and enhancing local food security by empowering small- and medium-scale agricultural producers.

A big thank you to all the participants, local partners, and venue hosts for making both consultations a success!
