The Interdisciplinary Studies Center on Organic Agriculture (IdSC-OA), and Agricultural Systems Institute, CAFS, UPLB, in partnership with LifeBank Microfinance Foundation, Inc. is offering thesis grants to help you complete your study.

UPLB undergraduate students are encouraged to submit concept notes as early as the topic conceptualization stage or before thesis outline approval.

Effective AY2026-2027, the Agricultural Systems Institute of the College of Agriculture and Food Science, University of the Philippines Los Banos, shall administer this thesis support program, in collaboration with Synergy Pilipinas Innovation (as the funding agency).

In celebration of OARDEC's 7th Anniversary, the UPLB Agricultural Systems Institute through its Organic Agriculture Program, organized the FARMERS' OA CAMP.

Held on July 27, 2026 at OARDEC, UPLB, College, Laguna, this activity gathered the farmers and barangay officials from the four barangays of Bay, Laguna (Tranca, Masaya, Sta. Cruz and Puypuy) and two barangays of Los Banos (Timugan, Bagong Silang) to share knowledge and experiences on organic agriculture, exchange seeds, participate in learning exercises, and initiate collaboration with other barangays.

The Organic Agriculture Program of UPLB Agricultural Systems Institute, represented by its Coordinator, Dr. Leichee Landicho and ASI Extension Coordinator, Ms. Nem Ocampo held a meeting with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on July 7, 2026 in line with the planning and preparations for the OA Festival in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya in August 2026.

Joining the meeting were Provincial Agriculturist Baysa, Asst. Provincial Agriculturist Allen Christian Gallardo, Provincial OA Focal Person, Ms. Winnie Pinchingan, and Municipal OA Focal Person, Ms. Diana Fernandez.

Congratulations to Mr. Mark Virgil Jamer!

Mr. Jamer was one of the grantees of the UPLB–LBF Organic Agriculture Thesis Grant Program, recognizing his dedication and valuable contribution to the field of organic agriculture. His Special Problem (SP) study was also presented during the International Conference on Organic Agriculture held at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) on November 27, 2025.
