𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐃𝐀-𝐁𝐅𝐀𝐑 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐚
Asst. Prof. Rei Chino C. Pua and Asst. Prof. Cris Edwin B. Bonalos of the Department served as resource speakers during the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) Regional Office 9 technical capability training on entrepreneurship, marketing, human resource, and financial management held on September 14–15, 2026 in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
The training provided an opportunity to share management that can help fisherfolk enterprises strengthen how they manage their enterprises, from developing entrepreneurial skills and understanding their markets to managing people and making sound financial decisions.
For DAME, initiatives like this are part of our commitment to our stakeholders which is to empower communities by sharing the knowledge and expertise of our faculty and bringing management and entrepreneurship closer to the people and enterprises we serve.
This initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
