LRC hosted a Midyear in-service Training 2024
The LRC staff led the facilitation of the school-based in-services training with the theme: Empowering the Psycho-Social and Interpersonal Relationship, held on January 24–30, 2024, at the Memorabilia Building, Quezon National High School. Mr. Cristian S. Mendoza, School Librarian II, who acted as the chairman of the in-service training, and Ms. Zenaida V. Rallama, Library Staff, the co-chairman. They crafted the training design with the main objective of providing comprehensive background knowledge on psychosocial and interpersonal skills. It increases the level of awareness of non-teaching personnel. Most especially, it improves non-teaching personnel's motivation to perform their job well and enhances teamwork through effective collaboration practices.
On the first day, Ms. Hanna Cristine P. Reaveles, COA Auditor Staff, discussed teamwork and collaboration. She emphasized the value of having teamwork and collaboration in the workplace to achieve our goals. Moreover, Mrs. Jelanie Q. Oriña, Administrative Officer IV, talked about stress management. She presented different factors that cause stress and how to deal with stress at work. While Mr. Cristian S. Mendoza, School Librarian II, discussed financial literacy, he also discussed the importance of saving, budgeting techniques, and tips for saving. He talked about the best sources of investment for retirement in the Philippines.
The second day was the coaching and mentoring of the mid-year review of IPCRF. The people assigned to present their midyear IPCRF were the administrative officers, administrative aides, and administrative assistants. On the third day, the accountant, library staff, health section, and security guard were given the time to show their respective mid-year IPCRF.
On the fourth day, Ms. Angela Khristine M. Abila, Administrative Aide IV, and Mrs. Jernalyn T. Pinion, Administrative Assistant II, tackled time management and productivity. They discussed the factors affecting productivity and the importance of time management in the workplace. After the discussion, there is an activity where the participants present their work process. However, Irish L. Sura, Administrative Aide IV, presented about feedback and managing difficult conversations. She gave tips on how to provide constructive feedback and have difficult conversations with individuals. After the talk, the participant was given a scenario on how they were going to deliver it and what the right approach was.
The last day of the training was held at the Amaia Scape Pavilion in Lucena City. Mrs. Felirose E. Uy, Nurse II, and Mrs. Emelda T. Nagar, Administrative Aide IV, talked about art therapy for mental hygiene. They talked about its objectives of raising awareness about mental health and promoting help-seeking behaviors and emotional well-being practices. Mr. Jessie V. Vasquez left an inspiring message to all the participants to continue working together to promote camaraderie in the workplace.
The five days of in-service training were highlighted by giving meritorious awards to the deserving non-teaching personnel who made an extra effort in carrying out their respective duties. Learning opportunities, cooperation, and unity have made these five days of in-service successful.
