East VII Pupil Advances to Final Round in RRSPC
A Grade Six pupil from Lucena East VII Elementary School brought pride to her school after competing in the recent Reconfigured Regional Schools Press Conference held in Antipolo City from February 22 to 27.
Zandi Mhiel C. Manalo represented her school in the SciTech Writing–Filipino category during the regional competition. Prior to this achievement, Zandi secured first place at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) level, earning her the opportunity to advance to the regional stage.
The competition at the regional level was tough, with 75 participants from 25 Schools Divisions across Region IV-A CALABARZON. Despite the strong field of contenders, Zandi demonstrated outstanding writing skills and critical thinking ability in science and technology journalism.
Out of all participants, she successfully made it to the Top 40, qualifying her to continue in the final round of the competition. Her achievement highlights her dedication, talent, and perseverance in campus journalism.
Zandi was trained and guided by Wendy E. Rances, the school paper adviser, who provided continuous support and coaching throughout her preparation for both the division and regional levels.
The school community celebrates Zandi’s accomplishment, recognizing her hard work and commitment to excellence. Her participation in the regional press conference serves as an inspiration to fellow pupils who aspire to excel in the field of campus journalism.
