The Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health – Calabarzon Team successfully conducted the Standard Standard First Aid (SFA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Providers Course for Quezon PDOHO personnel from March 2–6, 2026 at the 2nd Floor Conference Hall, Quezon PDOHO, QMC Compound, Lucena City.

As part of the Department of Health’s commitment to strengthening Environmental and Occupational Health, the activity reinforces the importance of building a safe, prepared, and healthy working environment for all personnel. Through this training, participants were equipped with essential life-saving skills and practical knowledge to confidently respond to medical emergencies, accidents, and health-related incidents.

Anchored on the Healthy Workplaces Framework, the training also highlights the value of empowering the workforce with the right skills and readiness to protect not only themselves, but also their colleagues and the communities they serve. This initiative contributes to building a safer, healthier, and more resilient workplace and community.

LOOK | The Quezon Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO) successfully conducted the 1st Quarter PuroKumustahan: 8 Priority Health Outcome Updating, Coaching and Mentoring for DOH-deployed HRH under the NHWSS of Quezon Province on March 3, 2026.

Anchored on strengthening the implementation of the PuroKalusugan strategy, the session served as a structured platform for updating, coaching, and mentoring DOH-deployed HRH Team Leaders in advancing the 8 Priority Health Outcomes of the Department of Health at the local level. It created a venue to address implementation gaps, align local strategies with national and regional health priorities, and reinforce support mechanisms for LGUs across the province.

Through collaborative discussions and focused technical guidance, the DOH Representatives closely monitored the progress of PuroKalusugan implementation, identified emerging challenges, and facilitated the exchange of best practices and innovative strategies among HRH. The engagement further strengthened operational capacity and strategic direction, ensuring that DOH-deployed HRH remain responsive, empowered, and effective partners of LGUs in advancing primary care services and achieving Universal Health Care outcomes.
