The goal of the Emeterio Calayan Jr. The Emeterio Calayan Jr.

Library named after one of the school’s founders, Dr. Emeterio Calayan Jr. is to provide access to information resources to the numbers of academic community for their intellectual growth, lifelong learning and enlightenment. It endeavors to keep abreast with the ever-changing demand of quality education, technological advances and more importantly the growing number of enrollees

From a small wooden room in 1973, today, the Emeterio Calayan Jr. Library is located at the 4th floor of the Katatagan Building in order to house the increasing number of library collection and keeps pace with the development of technology. The new library facilitates the retrieval of materials and has addressed CEFI’s burgeoning student population. Library is a learning environment for the tertiary department that upholds the school’s mission to develop young men and women into productive individuals via its library services by providing up-to-date information resources, instruction and technological services that promotes and enriches intellectual and personal growth to produce globally competitive professionals.

ATTENTION CEFIZENS:

In view of the recent incidents of school violence, CEFI is implementing heightened security measures to further ensure the safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, stakeholders, and visitors.

Effective Monday, August 24, 2026, in addition to the bag inspections conducted at the school gates and the use of metal detectors, all vehicles entering CEFI premises shall be subject to a thorough security inspection.

Vehicle inspections shall include all compartments of the vehicle, as well as bags and other items contained inside the vehicle for purposes of detecting weapons, dangerous materials, and other prohibited items.

Please be assured that no collection, recording, or processing of personal data shall take place in the course of these security inspections. The inspections are strictly for the purpose of ensuring the safety and security of the CEFI community.

We recognize that these additional security procedures may cause some inconvenience and may require additional time upon entry. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and respectfully ask for everyone’s patience, understanding, and full cooperation.

These measures are being undertaken as a necessary precaution to strengthen our security protocols. The safety and security of the entire CEFI community remain our highest priority.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work together to keep CEFI safe and secure for everyone.

With the guidance and mentorship of their Choirmaster, Mr. Juan Carlo Villanueva, and Artistic Director, Mr. Marc Araneta, all those rehearsals, hard work, and passion have brought you this far—and CEFI couldn’t be prouder! 💚💛

More than showcasing talent, CEFI continues to celebrate quality education through the arts (SDG 4), embrace diversity and cultural appreciation (SDG 10), and build meaningful connections through intercultural exchange and partnerships (SDG 17).
