𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒𝐐 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐒𝐘𝐌𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐍 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Coast Guard Station Southern Quezon (CGSSQ), together with its Sub-Stations, participated in the simultaneous blowing of horns by vessels within ports in observance of the 27th National Maritime Week (NMW) and 31st National Seafarers’ Day (NSD).

The symbolic activity paid tribute to the men and women of the maritime industry, particularly seafarers whose dedication and service contribute to the safety, security, and continued development of the nation’s maritime sector.

Through this initiative, CGSSQ reaffirms the Philippine Coast Guard’s commitment to promoting maritime safety and security, supporting the welfare of seafarers, and fostering solidarity within the maritime community.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Coast Guard Station Southern Quezon (CGSSQ), together with its Sub-Stations, Operationally Controlled (OPCON) units, and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 504th Squadron, participated in the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) 2026 in line with the observance of the 27th National Maritime Week (NMW) and 31st National Seafarers’ Day (NSD).

CGSSQ, together with participating PCG and PCGA personnel, took part in coastal cleanup and mangrove planting activities, contributing to the restoration and preservation of coastal ecosystems and the promotion of cleaner, safer, and healthier shorelines within the Station’s Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The activity highlighted the importance of inter-agency and community cooperation in protecting marine resources and promoting environmental responsibility, while reinforcing CGSSQ’s commitment to Marine Environmental Protection, sustainable coastal management, and collective efforts toward the protection and preservation of the country’s coastal and marine environment.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Coast Guard Station Southern Quezon (CGSSQ) participated in Scenario 4 of KATATAGAN Quezon 2026 held at Quezon National High School, Lucena City, featuring a simulated urban search and rescue operation involving a collapsed building.

As part of the exercise, CGSSQ deployed Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel, K9 Search and Rescue Dogs with handlers, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel to support victim search, location, extraction, and the assessment of simulated explosive-related hazards.

The scenario highlighted coordinated security, access control, victim evacuation, and medical transfer among participating agencies, providing an opportunity to test rapid response, interoperability, communication, and resource mobilization during a complex urban emergency, while continuous training and inter-agency exercises further strengthen CGSSQ’s capability to respond effectively and safeguard lives and communities through maritime safety, search and rescue, disaster response, and emergency assistance.
