In this year's celebration of the National Women's Month, marks not only the recognition of Filipino women's achievement but also the beginning of an active restoration of one's rightful place in society. It is a call to reclaim strength, dignity, and leadership rooted in our pre-colonial heritage.
Led by the Philippine Commission on Women, the celebration draws inspiration from the spirit of the Babaylan - our foremothers who were healers, scholars and leaders. This spirit lives on in the significant gains of Filipino women in health, education, and in their vital role in nation-building and regional leadership.
In solidarity of the observance in celebrating and building a more inclusive and equitable community, the Lucena City DOH Office, under the leadership of Mr. Brian Prudente Villanueva, not only support, but also advocates and encourages everyone to actively participate under the banner 'WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society'.
