A new chapter begins for Rehastalk: Mga Kaagapay sa Pagbabago—a continuation of our journey of sharing stories, inspiring hope, and highlighting the people who help make rehabilitation and transformation possible.

For our Year 2, Episode 1, we are honored to feature the Rotary Club of Lucena Circle, an organization committed to the spirit of Service Above Self and to creating meaningful opportunities that uplift communities and touch lives.

We are especially grateful for the leadership and service of Service Impact President Mr. Jayger Azores, whose commitment and support embody the spirit of being a true kaagapay in the journey toward rehabilitation and transformation.

Their partnership and support serve as a reminder that rehabilitation does not happen behind closed doors alone. It becomes more meaningful when there are kaagapay—individuals, organizations, and communities who believe that every Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) deserves an opportunity to learn, grow, rebuild, and prepare for a better life beyond the walls.

Through their generosity, involvement, and commitment to service, the Rotary Club of Lucena Circle contributes to programs and initiatives that provide our PDLs with encouragement, opportunities, and renewed hope—helping them see that their past does not have to define their future.

To promote responsible and informed driving practices, personnel participated in a Learning and Development Session on “The Road to Responsibility: Understanding Driver’s Licenses,” facilitated by JO1 Jonel Macasaya under the supervision of Acting Warden, JSINSP ALLAIN M. ABASTILLAS.

The session focused on the importance of driver’s licenses, basic licensing requirements, road safety responsibilities, and proper driving practices. The activity enhanced personnel’s awareness and understanding of responsible driving, contributing to safer roads and greater compliance with traffic rules and regulations.

To strengthen effective communication and operational coordination, personnel participated in a Learning and Development Session on “Two-Way Radio Communication,” facilitated by SJO1 Corazon Pineda under the supervision of Acting Warden, JSINSP ALLAIN M. ABASTILLAS.

The session focused on proper radio protocols, etiquette, clear and concise messaging, and the correct use of radio equipment. The activity enhanced personnel’s communication skills and readiness, contributing to better coordination and safer, more efficient jail operations.

Personnel participated in a Learning and Development Session on “Creating a Work-Life Balance,” facilitated by JO1 Sheriz Anne Tesalona under the supervision of Acting Warden, JSINSP ALLAIN M. ABASTILLAS.

The session highlighted practical ways to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life, including effective time management, setting priorities, and making time for self-care. Through this activity, personnel were encouraged to practice a balanced lifestyle that promotes well-being, productivity, and a positive work environment.

The Lucena City District Jail – Female Dormitory conducted its regular Personnel Information and Education (PIE) program, spearheaded by Acting Warden, JSINSP ALLAIN M ABASTILLAS.
The activity aimed to keep personnel updated on current policies and relevant topics that enhance the effective delivery of service and strengthen accountability within the unit. It also served as a venue to discuss current issues, important reminders, and programs concerning the welfare and performance of all personnel.

Sharing Kindness, Spreading Hope

A heartfelt expression of generosity and compassion unfolded as Mount Banahaw Chapter No. 29 extended their kindness through a meaningful Gift-Giving Activity to the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) of Lucena City District Jail – Female Dormitory.

Beyond the gifts and simple tokens, the activity served as a reminder that kindness knows no walls. Every act of generosity brings hope, encouragement, and a sense of connection to those who need it most.

The activity was made meaningful through the support and guidance of Acting Warden, JSINSP ALLAIN M ABASTILLAS, together with the dedicated personnel of Lucena City District Jail – Female Dormitory.

HONORING THE HEROES WHO SHAPED OUR NATION

In solemn observance of National Heroes Day, the Lucena City District Jail – Female Dormitory, under the leadership of JSINSP ALLAIN M ABASTILLAS, Acting Jail Warden, joined the nation in paying tribute to the men and women who courageously dedicated their lives in service to our country.

Through the offering of flowers, we honor their sacrifices, courage, and unwavering love for the Filipino people—reminding us that true heroism lives on through the values they left behind.

May their legacy continue to inspire us to serve with integrity, compassion, courage, and commitment in our own ways.
