E. Regional Research, Development and Innovation Networks
The DOST-CAR led the establishment of the Regional Research, Development and Innovation Committee (RRDIC). As a support committee of the RDC, RRDIC coordinates and provides strategic policy directions and harmony on major R&D activities in the region and to address gaps in research, development and innovation. The following are the R&D consortia under the auspices of the DOST:
1. Cordillera Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium (CIEERDEC)
2. Cordillera Regional Health and Development Consortium (CRHRDC)
3. Cordillera Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development (CorCAARRD)

๐™‡๐™Š๐™Š๐™† |The MoVE Apayao Team met with the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Apayao, the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Pudtol and Luna, and Apayao State College (ASC) to discuss project updates and the operationalization of the eJeepney delivered on August 26, 2026.

The meeting focused on the actions, coordination, and arrangements needed for the succeeding phases of the project, paving the way for the eJeepney's upcoming operations.

Following the meeting, the team, together with representatives from the PLGU, the Office of the Congressman, the LGUs of Luna and Pudtol, ASC, and the Land Transportation Office (LTO), participated in training and an actual demonstration of the eJeepney along the Luna-Pudtol route.

The eJeepney is expected to begin operating in September 2026, with its launch and blessing scheduled for September 8, 2026.

This milestone marks another important step toward promoting cleaner, safer, and more sustainable public transportation in Apayao.

Marcela Project conducted a 2-๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† on August 12-13, 2026, at Cagayan State University-Carig Campus in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, and Central Isabela Agri Manufacturing Corporation (CIAMC) in Cauayan City, Isabela.

The activity focused on monitoring the fabrication progress of the eTrike and conversion kits, assessing their current development status, and addressing technical considerations to help ensure that the target delivery schedule is met.

Through continuous coordination with its partner institutions and manufacturers, the MoVE Apayao Team remains committed to ensuring the completion, delivery, and eventual deployment of these innovative electric mobility solutions for Apayao.

This adjustment is in view of the declaration of August 21, 2026 (Friday) as a regular holiday in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day.
The 10-hour Compressed Workweek (CWW) arrangement will resume the following week, provided that no holiday falls on a Friday.
Please be guided accordingly.

As the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month draws to a close, the DOSTโ€“Apayao conducted a Basic Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Orientation and Refresher for its personnel, serving as an introduction for newly hired staff and a refresher for existing employees.

The session was facilitated by Engr. Rona Mae A. Bautista, DRRM Focal Person of DOSTโ€“Apayao, who discussed the fundamentals of disaster risk reduction, preparedness measures, and appropriate emergency response. The activity reinforced the importance of individual and collective preparedness in fostering a safe and resilient workplace.

Building resilience is an ongoing commitment that extends beyond a month-long observance. Through continuous learning and capacity-building initiatives, DOST Apayao remains dedicated to promoting a culture of preparedness and resilience among its personnel.
