𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The activity focused on early detection, consultation, and education on various health conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory illnesses, diabetes mellitus, skin diseases, active TB case finding, HIV/AIDS/STI, kidney disease, and leprosy emphasizing that leprosy is curable and that stigma remains the real challenge.

Residents of Brgy. Magallanes benefited from free medical consultations, screening, health education, and referral services provided by the Municipal Health Office and partner agencies.

The activity also served as a platform to raise awareness on disease prevention, early treatment, and the importance of seeking medical help without fear or discrimination.

Huwag magkampante kahit walang baha! Ang bakterya ng leptospirosis ay hindi lang nasa tubig-baha; maaari itong makuha sa anumang basang ibabaw, kanal, o mga bagay na madalas na nadidikit sa ihi ng daga.

Mga hakbang upang makaiwas sa Leptospirosis:

✅ Gumamit ng Proteksyon: Magsuot ng bota at guwantes kung maglilinis ng basang paligid, imburnal, o magtatrabaho sa putikan at bukid.

✅ Linisin at Takpan ang Pagkain: Siguraduhing nakatago sa malinis at saradong lalagyan ang mga de-lata at pagkain, at hugasan muna ang takip bago buksan.

✅ Panatilihing Malinis ang Tahanan: Takpan ang mga basurahan at agad itapon ang mga kalat upang hindi bahayan ng mga daga.

✅ Umiwas sa Maruming Tubig o Putik: ‘Wag hayaang maglaro ang mga bata sa mga maruming tubigan o basang lupa.

✅ Hugasan ang mga Sugat: Kung may sugat at nai-expose sa maruming lugar, sabunin at hugasan agad ito ng malinis na tubig.

Kapag na-expose sa marumi o kontaminadong lugar, pumunta agad sa pinakamalapit na Health Center o YAKAP Clinic para sa libreng konsultasyon at prophylaxis—may sugat man o wala, at may sintomas man o wala!
