In consideration of the recent weather conditions, the deadline for the Kagitingan Stories Creative Media Fest has been extended until 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!

If you’re a filmmaker, photographer, digital storyteller, or simply someone with a story worth sharing, this is your chance to turn creativity into a worthwhile Kagitingan Story.

Capture stories that embody 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗺. Through your creativity, help keep the spirit of 𝗞𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 alive and bring the stories of our heroes closer to a new generation, plus the chance to win up to 100K!

​Pursuant to Executive Order No. 43, classes at all levels and work in government offices in the Province of La Union are suspended tomorrow, AUGUST 6, 2026, due to Tropical Storm Maymay.

​Suspension of work in private companies is also encouraged and left at the discretion of their respective heads of office.

Offices providing essential services, such as health, disaster risk reduction, and emergency response, will remain fully operational.

The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 – 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜 advises all tourists, travelers, tourism stakeholders, and the general public to remain vigilant as 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 “𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀” continues to affect Northern Luzon.

According to 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗦𝗔, the weather disturbance may bring cloudy skies, moderate to heavy rains, gusty winds, rough seas, and possible flooding and landslides in some areas. Travelers are encouraged to monitor the latest weather updates and follow the guidance of local authorities.
