Rice Price Monitoring|Barangay Sisiman and Palavilla
With growing concern about the sudden increase in rice prices, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lutayan, Municipal Agricultural Office, SB Chair on Commerce and Trade SB Ronnie L. Genovia, BPLO, MPS, BFP, and other partner agencies conducted the joint monitoring activity to closely monitor rice price in the municipality of Lutayan.
The special monitoring activity is in response to the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., imposing the price ceiling on rice. Under Executive Order No. 39, the price of regular milled and well-milled rice is capped at P41 and P45 per kilo, respectively.
The non-compliant rice vendors were advised to strictly follow the price ceiling.
