Sangguniang Kabataan ng New Lawaan Opens KASADYAHAN 2026 Celebration

NEW LAWAAN, M’LANG — The Sangguniang Kabataan ng New Lawaan opened KASADYAHAN 2026 on August 10, 2026, to launch the annual Linggo ng Kabataan celebration. The event officially started the week-long program, which focuses on sports and community development.

The program began with a traditional torch lighting ceremony to mark the formal start of the youth activities. Lighting the ceremonial flame opened the tournament calendar and set the baseline for the upcoming events.Immediately following the ceremony, teams moved to the court for the opening-day basketball matches.

KASADYAHAN 2026 will feature a series of sports and community events throughout the celebration. These activities aim to provide opportunities for youth participation while strengthening community involvement under the Sangguniang Kabataan ng New Lawaan.

KASADYAHAN 2026: Kalipay kag Kauswagan sang Nagaisa nga Kabataan

BARANGAY NEW LAWAAN, Mlang, Cotabato — Sa pangunguna ng Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay New Lawaan, muling ipagdiriwang ang Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 na nagbibigay-pugay sa sigla, talento, at pagkakaisa ng kabataan.

Sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang palaro, paligsahan, at gawaing pangkomunidad, layunin ng selebrasyon na hikayatin ang aktibong pakikilahok ng kabataan, palakasin ang diwa ng sportsmanship at bayanihan, at higit na pagtibayin ang ugnayan ng bawat mamamayan. Higit pa sa kasiyahan, ang pagdiriwang ay nagsisilbing paalala na ang kabataan ay may mahalagang papel sa pagbuo ng isang mas matatag, mas nagkakaisa, at mas maunlad na komunidad.

Sa bawat hamon na haharapin, bawat tagumpay na ipagdiriwang, at bawat alaalang mabubuo, pinatutunayan ng Linggo ng Kabataan 2026: Kasadyahan na ang tunay na lakas ng Barangay New Lawaan ay nagmumula sa kabataang may malasakit, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa kanilang pamayanan.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. New Lawaan conducted a symposium as part of the Adolescence Program under the Katipunan ng mga Kabataan (KK) Assembly activities, focusing on Substance Abuse, HIV/AIDS Awareness, Teenage Pregnancy, and Mental Health. The session aimed to strengthen awareness among adolescents on key health and social issues affecting their well-being and development. Discussions centered on prevention, early awareness, and making informed and responsible decisions.

It’s a wrap — May 23, 2026 — The Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. New Lawaan successfully held the Katipunan ng mga Kabataan (KK) Assembly 2026 at the barangay New Lawaan Covered Court.

Youths attended to take part in discussions on SK programs, barangay youth concerns, and planned activities for the year. The assembly featured the presentation of the SK financial report and accomplishment report, ensuring transparency in the use of funds and accountability for completed projects and ongoing initiatives in Brgy. New Lawaan.

The assembly also opened a space for questions and suggestions from participants on Sangguniang Kabataan programs and future plans for the barangay youth.

The activity forms part of the SK’s continuing effort to keep the youth informed and involved in barangay governance, particularly in programs that directly support their welfare, participation, and development in the community.

KK Assembly 2026 & Youth Symposium set on May 23, 2026 (Saturday).

The activity will feature the presentation of the Sangguniang Kabataan’s accomplishment report, including updates on implemented programs and the utilization of the SK budget.

A symposium will also be conducted to discuss relevant youth issues and concerns, providing information and guidance for active civic awareness and participation.

Anchored on the theme “Empowering Youth: Keeping Them Involved, Informed, and Transformed,” the assembly emphasizes transparency, accountability, and informed youth engagement in community governance.

Raffle prizes and other surprises are also prepared for participants during the program.

UPGRADING THE GAME: BASKETBALL SCORING MACHINE INSTALLED AT BRGY. NEW LAWAAN COVERED COURT

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Brgy. New Lawaan has introduced a Basketball Scoring Machine to improve the flow and accuracy of basketball games in the barangay.

Led by SK Chairperson Kate D. Bandiola, the project aims to ensure faster, clearer, and more reliable scorekeeping during barangay leagues and youth tournaments, helping games run smoother from tip-off to final buzzer.

The new system reduces scoring delays and confusion, allowing matches to be better organized and easier to follow throughout the game.

SK New Lawaan said the initiative is part of its continuing efforts to strengthen sports programs and promote active youth participation through well-managed sporting events.

With this upgrade, local basketball games take a step forward in organization and efficiency, bringing a more streamlined experience to the court.
