Sangguniang Barangay of Colon open for donations to help affected families and communities of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In light of the massive effect of the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continues to rise resulting to inforce Enhanced Community Quarantine, the Sangguniang Barangay signified its intent to accept donations to augment its capacity to provide for the affected families and communities.

Part of the disaster response measures undertaken by the sanggunian is the continuing relief operations in the different puroks and sitios within its jurisdiction. With the unpredictable status of COVID-19, the duration of relief operations is likewise indefinite. Thus, the Sangguniang Barangay unanimously approved the passage of SB Resolution No. 03-007 series of 2020 on March 24, 2020 authorizing Hon. Flordeliza J. Jamora, on behalf of the Sangguniang Barangay of Colon, Maasim, to accept donations, in kind, from government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other local entities in relation to the COVID-19.

Donations like rice, assorted goods, drinking water and other assorted items are coming in from government agencies, private groups and individuals.

Again, congratulations Barangay Colon for being the rank 1 during the evaluation for "Good Governance" in the entire municipality conducted by Provincial Health Office and Municipal Health Office.

Barangay Colon will represent the Municipality of Maasim this Friday in the provincial level!
