The Southern Leyte Provincial Development Council convened for another coordination meeting at the Old DPWH Function Hall, Capitol Site, Asuncion, Maasin City, today, May 26, 2026.
This time, the focal point is evaluating and aligning with the budget mechanisms of the province to ensure smooth budget consolidation among departments and other national-line and local agencies partnered with the provincial government in the implementation of policies and plans.
The Provincial Budget Office presented its Annual Investment Plan (AIP), providing an overview of the province's capacity to support local programs, laid out throughout the fiscal year.
Governor Damian Mercado participated during the meeting, standing as the council's chair. The provincial head thanked all stakeholders, departments, LCEs, and other national-line agencies for their appearances.
Through the cooperation of various stakeholders, the province's treasury is able to apportion its finances to meaningful and productive programs for the betterment of communities.
