SDO Maasin City hosted the Region VIII National Kick-Off of the School-Based Feeding Program and Milk Feeding Activity for School Year 2026–2027 with the theme, "Nourishing Learners, Building Futures."

The event was led by Regional Director Dr. Salustiano T. Jimenez, JD, CESO III, and Assistant Regional Director Dr. Marilyn B. Siao, CESO IV, together with the Schools Division Offices across Region VIII, showing their shared commitment to the School-Based Feeding Program.

We were also honored by the presence of our valued partners, Hon. Luz V. Mercado, City Mayor of Maasin, and Mr. Brian B. Desiderio, Department Manager of the National Dairy Authority–Visayas.

Under the leadership of SDS Dr. Genis S. Murallos, CESO V, and ASDS Jaime Leon T. Cardona, CESO VI, DepEd Maasin City with the host school, Maasin Central School, proudly welcomed all participants and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every learner is healthy, well-nourished, and ready to learn.
