The Lifeline: Empowering Youth for Healthier Choices program was successfully conducted by the City Government of Maasin through the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer, through a series of informative sessions covering sexual and reproductive health, teenage pregnancy prevention, and STI/HIV awareness. The activity also focused on promoting mental health and positive coping strategies, encouraging participants to avoid or quit smoking and adopt healthier lifestyles, and providing a safe space for out-of-school youth (OSY) to share experiences, ask questions, and build peer support networks.
Participants from various barangays of Maasin were organized into 10 districts for the implementation of the activity. in partnership with health workers, nurses, and the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), who served as resource persons, the program was successfully conducted from April 6, 2026 - June 3, 2026, in the following venues: Barangay Hantag, Libhu, Sta Cruz, San Agustin, CADAC Building, Asuncion, Sto Rosario, Maria Clara, San Jose, and Lonoy.

During the activity, the participants elected officers to represent their district and serve as the voice of the OSYs in their place.
The activity effectively enhanced participants' awareness and understanding of key health issues affecting young people while fostering informed decision-making and healthier life choices among the Out-of-School Youth (OSYs) participants.

Ang pagpamalimos mao ang pagpangayo og kwarta, pagkaon, o tabang sa mga pampublikong lugar sama sa kadalanan, parke, merkado, ug uban pang pampublikong lugar.

- MENDICANT (MANLIMOSAY): Usa ka tawo nga makahimo og trabaho apan nagsalig sa pagpamalimos isip panginabuhian.

- EXPLOITED CHILD (GIABUSAR NGA BATA): Usa ka menor de edad nga gigamit sa pagpamalimos o nag-uban sa usa ka kanunayng manlimosay.

- HABITUAL MENDICANT (KANUNAYNG MANLIMOS): Usa ka tawo nga napamatud-an nga nakalapas sa ordinansa sa pagpamalimos sa duha o labaw pang higayon.
