On May 26, 2026, the employees of CENRO Maasin City, Southern Leyte participated in an informative learning session organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology โ Southern Leyte, focusing on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and secure digital services.

This activity aimed to strengthen the digital competencies of government employees through cybersecurity awareness, digital governance, and secure electronic transactions. It highlighted the importance of safeguarding information, identifying cyber threats, and practicing safe digital behavior in daily work.
Participants were introduced to Government Digital Transformation and eGov initiatives, emphasizing improved efficiency, transparency, and public service delivery.
A key focus was PNPKI (Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure) and the use of digital signatures in government transactions, ensuring authenticity, integrity, and non-repudiation of electronic documents while supporting paperless government processes.
This initiative was supported by Ms. Florence A. Bataluna, OIC โ CENR Officer of CENRO Maasin, and Ms. Marian C. Go-Soco, Provincial Officer of DICT Southern Leyte, whose leadership helped ensure the success of the training.
