AI-POWERED DIGITAL SKILLS OF PUBLIC SERVANTS IN SOUTHERN LEYTE!

Amid the country's rapid digital transformation, slow processes and lack of AI and digital skills in government pose challenges.

In response to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s order to strengthen the capability of government employees in using innovative technology, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Southern Leyte Provincial Office conducted โ€œBasic AI Tools: Gemini-Powered Workspace Trainingโ€ at Tech4ED Digital Transformation Center - Maasin For the personnel of TESDA Southern Leyte.

In the hands-on training conducted, participants enhanced their knowledge on Artificial Intelligence and practical AI tools that can help accelerate administrative workflows and improve public service delivery. This features developing custom AI assistants, using Fast and Pro models for more productive work, real-time content generation with Canvas, and using Deep Research tools for more efficient data gathering and decision-making.

Through this, DICT continues to strengthen its partnership with government agencies towards a more efficient, innovative, and digital-ready bureaucracy.

Day 2 DONE and the car robots are RUNNING!โฃ
โฃ
On May 20, 2026, our Robotics 101 Training came alive as teens aged 13โ€“21 got their hands dirty โ€” literally assembling, wiring, and programming their very own Code:bit Car Robots from scratch! ๐Ÿš—โฃ
โฃ
From writing their first lines of code in MakeCode, to watching their car dodge obstacles and follow a black line on its own โ€” every moment was pure hands-on learning at its finest.
โฃ
These young minds didn't just learn about robotics. They BECAME robotics builders. โฃ
