The Local Government Unit of Maasin City through the Office of the Senior Citizens (OSCA) and Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO) successfully conducted the PUBLIC AWARENESS ON THE NEEDS AND ASPIRATIONS OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS at Barangay Hantag, Maasin City, Southern Leyte last September 28, 2023.

The said activity was attended by the Barangay Association of Senior Citizens Officers and selected members from Barangay Matin-ao, Malapoc Norte, Malapoc Sur, San Isidro, Tomoy-Tomoy, Batuan, Bactul I, Bactul II, Rizal, Batuan, Cambooc ug Hantag

We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our Resource person from Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII- Social Pension Unit the Project Development Officer I - JELLIE ANN L. GELSANO, RSW.

Likewise, we extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to our City Officials headed by City Mayor Nacional Verano Mercado, City Vice Mayor Maloney L. Samaco, Sangguniang Panlungsod members, to our CSWDO - Jhade Maturan-Bestudio, RSW, Ms. Anne P. Baltar, RSW- Resource Person, Bernardita A. Credo- OSCA Head, Hantag Barangay Council headed by Punong Barangay Brenda Cabrera, Social Work Interns from SLSU Maasin City Campus and to the participants.

The Local Government Unit of Maasin City through the Office of the Senior Citizens (OSCA) and Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO) successfully conducted the HOME CARE SUPPORT SERVICES ORIENTATION at Barangay Asuncion, Maasin City, Southern Leyte last September 25, 2023 and Barangay Ibarra, Maasin City, Southern Leyte last September 26, 2023.

The said activity was attended by the Barangay Association of Senior Citizens Officers, Barangay Health Workers/Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Councilor Committee Chair on Social Services and Family members who are caring sickly senior citizens from Barangay Asuncion, Canturing, Soro-Soro, Nasaug, Bogo, Ibarra, Isagani, Maria Clara and Sta. Rosa.

We extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our Resource person from Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VIII- Social Technology Unit the Project Development Officer II - MS. ANNE P. BALTER, RSW.

Likewise, we extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to our City Officials headed by City Mayor Nacional Verano Mercado, City Vice Mayor Maloney L. The Local Government Unit of Maasin City through the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Officer (OCSWDO) joins the annual celebration of ELDERLY FILIPINO WEEK 2023 with the theme: "Honoring the Invaluable LEGACY of the Senior Citizens" o "Pagpasidungog sa Bilihong Kabilin sa mga Pilipinhong Katigulangan"

In relation to this, last October 3, 2023 we conducted the PUBLIC AWARENESS ON THE NEEDS AND ASPIRATIONS OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS at Barangay Baugo, Maasin City, Southern Leyte. We also conducted the Tree Planting Activity for Senior Citizens "Plant a Tree for Legacy"

We extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to our Resource Persons who shared their knowledge and expertise to our senior citizens:
